We did this for my Brother's 50th and it was excellent. Justin was really knowledgeable and very personable, it was great to see three different sized vineyards and meet the owners of 2 of them. Even with a few hiccups from our end in terms of travel/getting there - Justin & Nicola managed to wrangle us and keep us on time. I highly recommend this

Had an excellent private tour with Justin - he really knows his stuff on the history of English wine and the practices in use at the various vineyards. We were able to see 3 different vineyards (an organic/biodynamic, a small family producers, and a large/famous one - Chapel Down). It was great value for a full day and lunch! We had so much fun tasting wines and seeing the beautiful vineyards and Kent!

We had a great time doing this tour with Justin. He took us to 3 vineyards that were each slightly different - in terms of size, grapes, production etc. I’d never tasted much English wine so it was an interesting new experience. Justin was very knowledgeable and was a great tour guide. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something fun and different to do outside of London!

Hi Olivia, Thank you for the lovely review! On the day we went to Sedlescombe Organic (a true biodynamic vineyard too), Woodchurch Estate and Chapel Down Vineyard. You're spot on; they are are different in size and scale and it's great to hear that you enjoyed each of them! Your group was fabulous and loads of fun and I look forward to seeing you again on another tour!

We had a great day. Justin is very knowledgeable and friendly! It was nice to be able to go at our own pace and stay longer or leave earlier when we wanted. To elevate the experience, another pub for the lunch with high quality food would be a recommendation.

Hi Annie, It was a pleasure to the spend the day with your group and thank you for the wonderful review. In Kent, we often go to The William Caxton which is a small pub but we personally work with the resident landlord (John). Its important to us to have a direct relationship with the landlord to deliver an excellent experience. Your group was delightful and I hope to see you again in the near future!

Our tour comprised three wineries Bolney, Kingscote and Bluebell. At The largest Bolney we were simply provided with four wines to try but offered no explanation on the wines by the venue. We could have been sitting in a wine bar doing it so that was not expected as this was arguably the most professional venue. Our wine guide did then take us through the vineyard to look at the different varieties and stages of grape development. The other two visits were much more personal experiences with the wines explained and discussed by the hosts and I would recommend visiting either/both of those. Vehicle Comfort and lunch organised by Jay at English wine tours was good quality and we enjoyed discussing the industry with him as we travelled around.

Hi Nicola, Thank you for the great review! Some of the vineyards have interpreted the Covid measures slightly differently and have changed their format on presenting the wines; Bolney is one of those vineyards at the moment. Bolney does do generous pours on their tasting so hopefully that sort of makes up for the staff wanting to keep their distance. Its difficult for some businesses to get it just right with the staff and customers. It was great to meet you and I hope to see you again on another wine tour in the future.
