At Saltholme, you'll find a world of amazing wildlife thriving right in the middle of the Tees Valley's heavy industry.Surprising, isn't it? But this is a brilliant place for wildlife – and for you! Come and explore the state- of-the-art visitor centre with panoramic views of the reserve and its industrial backdrop. Follow your nose to the café to sample freshly brewed coffee and home-cooked meals, and then stop off in the shop for a bit of retail therapy.Get outdoors with the family to explore the discovery zone and run, jump and clamber through the adventure playground. If you fancy relaxing, seek out a bench in the tranquil wildlife garden or venture to the far reaches of the reserve for some quiet time with nature. However you want to spend your time at Saltholme, you're sure to fall in love with the place and come back time and time again.

We visited in lovely sunny weather and enjoyed walking around the park. There are several trails to choose from and it’s easy to see butterfly’s, dragonfly’s and birds from the paths. More keen bird watchers tend to hibernate in the huts with their binoculars, we...More

It's often surprising just how quiet Saltholme is, especially when you consider what is in the surrounding area. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit.

We're glad you had a great day with us here at Saltholme, The Mad Hatter's tea party is a firm favourite with many of our younger visitors. Hope to see you again soon.

Lots of birds and wildlife. 20 month old granddaughter enjoyed it too. Especially the Mad Hatters tea party sculpture. Lots of hidden gems and a safe play area. Cafe catered for all and good choice of food. Well worth £5 per car

Thanks for the lovely comments. We also run a Little Explorers under 5s club every other Friday, which our younger visitors love.
