This is a pretty grass area which has tables to have a picnic. The day we were there, however, it wasn't warm enough for us to sit and eat outside, although others seemed happy to do so. The view of the castle is attractive.
Essentially this is the grassed area adjacent to the Castle, but it has picnic tables and is a nice space to meet with family and friends for a picnic.

A lovely quiet place in the middle of the city. Some very nice pieces of sculpture and a wonderful view point made out the old Duke Street bridge and is ironically located directly above the Castle Mall carpark entrance.
