Came across this lovely church almost by mistake as we explored some of the back streets behind the shopping centre of Red Lion Street. St Peter Mancroft has an impressive interior with a beautiful roof with a series of bosses. Look out for the carved angels at the end of each hammer beam. The whole church has an open and... More

The cathedral is right next to the market place in Norwich. It is beautiful inside with wonderful stained glass and glorious architecture. Definitely well worth a visit.

We were on a Christmas shopping trip when we noticed the twinkling trees within St Peters, signalling the first day of the Charity Christmas tree festival. Unfortunately I only saw half of it as I fell in the church. I'd like to say that the kindness from one individual called David (church guide) was much appreciated. He walked with myself and... This church is slap bang in the heart of norwich busy shopping I always take my grandchildren in there they love the ambiance of a church and the tranquility it brings I would of hoped to of seen more people in there from time to time especially where its situated, this must be a sign of the times unfortunetly. Beautiful archtecture... More

Visited here on a family visit to Norwich, just exploring with a well informed relative who suggested looking into the church and a good thing too. I don't find religious uplifts from churches but they are undoubtedly interesting for the architecture, decoration and especially their history and this example is very fine. Lots of tombs and memorials to the local... More

I spent some time wandering around The Forum and MArketplace before taking refuge in here. This church is exceptional for its decoration, stained glass and especially the font and wooden surround. Do not miss the ancient tapestry and bell ringers charter next to the font - both of which are behind curtains.

I like visiting places of worship and when we were dropped off near to this church I could not resist. It is so light and airy with lovely pews to sit and reflect in.
