and some of the cleanest toilets in the city. Sadly the tourist information is now closed but staff at information in the Forum was extremely helpful.

A modern glass building
Sep 2020
which houses the library on two floors. Plenty of space with restaurants and cafes. Also tourist information and clean toilets.

It's a fine building which holds the library, Pizza Express and a cafe. Not much more to be said, it's clean and impressive.

Knitted Sandringham
Feb 2020
Set high above the historic open market and magnificent church of St Peter Mancroft
the ultramodern Forum is the scene of many cultural displays and exhibitions for the citizens of Norwich and visitors alike. This February was no exception but of all the exhibits at the Norfolk Maker's Festival one was outstanding the remarkable knitted model of Sandringham House created by 90 year old great-grandmother Margaret Seaman.Other exhibits and workshops were available although on the Saturday my wife who was looking for a knitting workshop had to be disappointed. There were opportunities however to draw from a life model class.

We enjoyed our visit to this vibrant centre of Norwich. So many diverse activities going on at the same time. Well organised and devised building, always something different happening.

Wonderful exhibition
Feb 2020
We popped in after breakfast (at Pret, where else?) for a street map of the city, and then spent quite sometime enjoying the craft work on display.

The Forum often has exhibitions and no exception is the Makers Market in February each year. Wonderful selection of crafts fro all over Norfolk, with workshops and time to see and watch what's going on. A bonus is a wonderful coffee shop with plenty of seating. Plus The Forum is right in the centre of Norwich, handy for the shops and market.

Lovely building
Dec 2019
A new building, centrally located. Lovely spacious feel, and worth a visit even if you don't intend shopping. The excellent Norwich Tourist Information Service is located here and is certainly worth a visit by itself. (They have an excellent free map of the city and staff are very helpful.)

Group Visit
Nov 2019
We went to visit the big Christmas tree in the middle of The Forum and listen to some carols being sung. The tree was very pretty and we liked the singing. It's a shame there weren't any seats to sit on to listen though. We then went to have a browse through the books and were pleased to find a nice selection.
