Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

£9 for a German bratwurst in a sausage with various additions, eg. onions. Taking the pee. However, people were happy to queue up and buy. Brass band, but little proper German music content. £10 deposit on a glass and rerfundable (okay), but £6 a half a litre and £12 a litre and not all beers available. I think there was a choice of 4. £5 for fries. Perhaps just out of my league, but I can do better for the food in London, although not for the price of the beer. So disappointing, but fair credit to the owner who knows how to bring in the punters. Perhaps not just for us, but nothing like the real thing.

Couldn't have been better. After ordering our first drinks at the bar, the waiters/waitresses were always around to offer more drinks when they saw our glasses getting low. This way we could stay sitting and chatting the whole time. Staff were very polite and happy. Dogs being welcome was a nice touch.

I just wanted to find somewhere to watch Saturday night football and this venue was a great find. Function room was great and I was able to watch the football on the big screen without any distractions. Even though the pub doesn't have a kitchen, they have a partnership with Harry's Soul Train, a mobile food outlet that parks up outside and the pub allows you to eat the food inside. It was all very good and it looked like it could cater for various occasions. A great find.

We hired the malthouse for a baby shower.
The room was brilliant, really nice decor with wooden beams, neutral walls and nice furniture. It had air con (thankfully, as it was 30c!) its own loo, a TV where you can hook up to a USB and speakers where you can plug into via aux lead.
Steve was very helpful and accomodating. I would 100% book this room again!

After moving nearby 3 years ago, this pub very quickly became our go to especially during the re-opening of bars after lockdown 1. The beer is always great quality, the garden is fantastic in the summer and winter, and the landlords and staff are always friendly and attentive, even when busy.
You don’t get many proper pubs like this that are held to this standard any more.
A great place for a drink.

Had a lovely time there last night! A perfectly organized, covid-safe outdoor event (with heaters!) in the company of City of Norwich Brass Band playing Christmas carols. 🎄 Hot mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate served by very friendly staff complemented my pre-Christmas experience. 😁 Compliments all round!

If you look in the front it seems tiny but there is lots of room at the back. There is a great selection of real ales and when we were there, table service was available. The toilets are very clean and modern too.
