I went as part of a group and I felt they let themselves down. We played V game and the puzzles got you thinking but other factors put a damper on things. The space was too tight in certain parts for the whole group to fit which meant some of us were literally waiting for others to complete something. The lighting also needs improving especially if you want a few people together in a small space (or perhaps give torches). I think i would have enjoyed this more if the group was smaller but they allow for bigger groups.

Valhalla Gane - It’s frustrating that we got locked in because we only needed about a minute extra. That is not the reason for the 3*. Why oh why would you have padlocks in the room that are not needed? Each time we had a code , time was wasted on the padlock and when I asked the game host at the end what the padlock was for, her response ‘oh it’s just there.’ Given every second counts this didn’t and still doesn’t make sense. I really think you need to get rid of the padlocks that are not part of the game.

Completed the Dark Arts room with my husband. We have completed a few escape rooms in the past, and are usually quite confident with the range of puzzles in these type of rooms. I would say that the Dark Arts room is let down by the fact there is no flow to the puzzles. There are a couple of sections that I find it implausible anyone would be able to get to without a clue, as there are no clues to show something is needed. This room did seem to be more about getting you to constantly move back and forth with no logic. However, my biggest issue (without giving too much away), there absolutely needs to be some kind of warning on either the website or by the game master for anyone who has arachnophobia. There is a huge part of this room I really struggled with, and had to get my other half to do a lot of. A warning would have been much appreciated
