The tour guide - Greg - was great. He really added to the experience. He's a knowledgeable chap, and very eccentric. We were the first to arrive and he happily chatted with us. We really enjoyed the Trail itself (the first of its kind for us!) and it's made us want to do plenty more. Greg was full of knowledge... More

Oh dear ! I could have told better stories than this with a week to research ; lot of rubbish about black cats and men in Lycra , quite boring and cold and s**t really , but you don't get much for £4 these days ; apart from a pint , which could be could be better use of an... More

The review below describing this as a 'feline farce' is very accurate. We did this tour on a cold December's night and sadly the only shivers we got were from the cold rather than any ghost stories. In his enthusiastic bid to be dramatic, the guide's story telling seemed to be confined to reciting pieces of poetry or riddles, widening... More

Was expecting to be told about ghosts or hauntings but didnt quite get that. Whilst the guide was trying to be dramatic in his story telling, we were trying not to laugh at his tongue in cheek acting. There was a lot of " and there is another black cat" or "whoever sees the black cat first is suppose to... More

Tour guide Greg was charming and knowledgeable about Yorks history. We really enjoyed his story telling and sense of humour. He even fist bumped me as we arrived.

We invited three of our visiting overseas relatives to enjoy an evening in York with us. Having experienced other York ghost tours we expected an entertaining and informative 70 minutes of interesting corners of medieval York. Greg, our tour guide, was friendly and welcomed us. However his poetic ramblings were difficult to follow and we did not understand most of... More

Fun addition to our trip. Couldn't have had a better host than Greg, great storyteller, very funny and sociable. Not particularly scary but the stories and humour that our guide added more than made up for that. For only £3.50 from our hotel the value was fantastic. Make sure to wrap up warm as it was very cold on our... More

Just an incredible storyteller, spooky and funny in equal measure plus incredibly informative. Had us enraptured for an hour and loved it. Probably not for anyone that wants something really scary or in depth but was such a lovely way to spend an hour.

I think I might have been expecting a little more interaction like going into places of interest but no this was more of an informative outsider stroll around York to local ghostly points. Lasts about an hour plus, nice walk and entertaining.

Took in this tour as part of a 48 HR stay in York. Tour was conducted by Greg, who was very entertaining and performed the stories with tongue definitely in cheek. He encouraged audience participation which added to the experience. Overall, great value for money. £4 per adult. Tour lasts over 1 hour
