I think I might have been expecting a little more interaction like going into places of interest but no this was more of an informative outsider stroll around York to local ghostly points. Lasts about an hour plus, nice walk and entertaining.

Took in this tour as part of a 48 HR stay in York. Tour was conducted by Greg, who was very entertaining and performed the stories with tongue definitely in cheek. He encouraged audience participation which added to the experience. Overall, great value for money. £4 per adult. Tour lasts over 1 hour

First time on a ghost walk I didn't really know what to expect, went with my 18 year old daughter and we had a fabulous time. Greg, the tour guide was very entertaining and engaging. The stories were fascinating, delivered with highly entertaining enthusiasm. Great way to find your feet around York. I would definitely recommend it.

We weren't sure which tour to do in York and are very glad we went with Greg. The tour was the right amount of spookiness and humour. He gives you a great overview of some of the notable sights in York interspersed with local ghost stories.

Went on this ghost tour last weekend. Disappointing to say the least. Very few actual stories or history, an awful lot of the guide trying to be dramatic. Considering it was only £4 I suppose I can't complain too much, but if you are looking for an entertaining or informative tour, I wouldn't choose this one.

Saturday night on Halloween week-end, mild weather ... PERFECT... EXCEPT .... the guy NEVER turned up ----- waited more than 15 mn ....should he have turned up then ... i would not have bothered anyway .... Sorry, being late is discourteous at best ... Do NOT bother --- choose an other tour... (professional - multi award winning people do not... More

The Ghost Trail ran that night at the usual time from the usual place (i.e. 7:30pm prompt from the West Doors of York Minster - beneath the twin bell towers) Can appreciate the confusion as it was so busy with the festival, the illuminations and the queues. The Guide gave a shout out at 7:30pm prompt and sorry that you... More

First the pros: £4, not bad for an hours entertainment. The guide was genial and really friendly to everyone. No actors in costumes popping up to scare you. Suitable for kids. The cons: Not great in terms of atmosphere. Much more walking than talking. Wacky presentation made the stories hard to follow. The stories got briefer as the night went... More

Don't expect to be scared but expected to be entertained! Greg's performance was fabulous, his rendition of the ghost stories was very amusing and we learned loads of quirky history of York whilst walking in the dark. I have been on many ghost tours - from the quite terrifying Port Arthur and the quirk Tokyo but this one was the... More

Three if us attended the tour on a Saturday night, understandably busy, however there was +60 people in the tour. The tour guide Greg was quietly spoken making him difficult to be heard and was unable to engage with the whole group, due to the size. The stories told were fairly interesting and what you would expect on a tour... More

Not as spooky as I expected but didn't mind that as quite a few children were in the group. Good pace and interesting stories along the way, tour guide certainly gave it his all and we enjoyed it as did everyone else. It's good how all the competing tours space themselves out so you don't run into another group and... More
