The grounds at Castle Howard were bigger than expected. We didn't make use of the train around the ground but would recommend that if you struggle when walking. The views from the main house were great looking in any direction. Inside the house the exhibits...More

Nice ancient castle and kids loved the playground.. Not fe to visit during summer to see how the flower blooms..definitely worth it to visit again

Beautiful building with miles of grounds to walk and all kinds of interesting things to see. We visited it on a day trip with Grand Yorkshire Tours and had about 3 hours there, which is what you need to see it all.

Had a fabulous day at Castle Howard. Free Parking. We paid to go round the house. £35.00 for the two of us. When we go back we won't bother with the house again. It is worth a visit but wouldn't be bothered about going inside...More

It's about half an hour by car. Not sure for other forms of transport. There is a car park and overflow.
