Best walking tour Experienced. Great 3 hours, very interesting every moment of it. Allan our guide was excellent and shared his vast knowledge, opening up the history of York , in a friendly and exciting way. Highly recommended, don't let the though of walking 3 hours put you off.... it included a lovely coffee and cake break!!

A great introduction to York and English history. The guide was very articulate and clear with a really good knowledge about the history and the facts. Recommend, mainly if you don't have much time.

We had 24 hours in York and these were the best 3. David's 3:00 tour gave a fantastic historical perspective of this ancient city. We gained a much greater understanding of the city and how it fits in to puzzle of Great Britain. Highly recommended.

There are a few options for walking tours in York and we plumped for this one. A good paced and very well presented tour and Alan is truly an excellent guide. Very personable and very knowledgeable. No fee but tips only "if you feel it is worth it". Such a pity that some people take the micky by not leaving... More

Our guide, Alan was very knowledgeable and entertaining and we have already recommended him to family members who live in the area. I feel this was a far better use... More

Highly recommend this tour. Allen our tour guide is a real character and looks like he could be in a descendant of the vikings. He really knows his history and gave excellent description of the landmarks we were shown.

Enjoyed the walk all around the centre with many, many interesting and entertaining stories and facts about the history of York through the ages. Our guide was very engaging, but could do with a bath and hair wash!

We could not recommend it enough. The guide (sorry forgot his name) was well spoken, very informative and little to no shtick. We would highly recommend it.
