Great story with a timeline. There are a few places for photos , dressing up. The Conan Doyle exhibit was very thought provoking and shame on those who still fail to protect our services personnel. I was surprised how many conflicts and wars we have...More

If you have been to big Museum like Prado or Vatican, sometimes you can get an overload of art or information, this is not the case for this museum. This museum is easy, small and manageable, with enough history and information and will not overload...More

As a non-resident senior I paid £4 to get in but can revisit for free for a year with the ticket. Although I can't remember the war and am not into militia... It was fascinating and full of interesting material. As an ex- nurse I...More

First time visited. Got in early and it soon started to fill up. Not a huge place didn’t take long too walk around but worthy of a visit. Great display cabinets and plenty of space to move around.

We visited this museum today. My husband is very keen on military history, I'm more interested in the personal stories. This museum was perfect for both of us. Thank you for keeping the history alive.

Thank-you for your review. We're glad that you both enjoyed your visit to us. A lot of thought went into how to display the collections to tell those personal stories alongside the military history so you comments are very much appreciated.

Came across this place by accident and very glad we did . Very interesting and packed with so much information about Yorks military history... Visited 13th November 2018 so with the 100 year celebrations for Armistice Day it was a very beautiful experience .

it's not free, it's small but it help foreigners understand how army is organised and a brief history of Britain army. There should be something on losses, not only victory to make the museum more complete
