We were on our wedding anniversary and we had problems booking a tour to Whitby due to Covid 19. On the day of our tour, the previous company cancelled our trip and we were left disheartened in York. Came along Mr JJ and Mountain Goat, he saved the day. We asked if we could join the trip on the spot and a quick phone call was made to the head office. In the next 10 minutes, we were aboard the coach enjoying the views of the Moors. JJ was an amazing driver and his knowledge of the area was very extensive. We really enjoyed the trip.
I would highly recommend Mountain Goat for anyone who wants to explore North Yorkshire and the coastal areas of the county.

My tour is "10 Lakes Tour of the Lake District" guided by Mountain Goat. The 16-seat travel car is spacious and tidy. Bottled water is provided without additional charges. The tour guide named Tim is an excellent guy, professional, caring and humorous. He is proactive to take photos with all tour members and his explanations to the tour spots are informative and interesting. The tour is highly recommended to all types of travellers, especially for those who are fond of viewing different lakes, valleys and landscapes, etc

My mum , sisters & I thoroughly enjoyed our day. Our guide Lee was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable keeping us interested & informed and answering our questions & queries. We had plenty of time to do all we had planned. We recommend Papa's for fish & chips Whitby and Porters tea rooms in Helmsley . We highly recommend this day trip.

Lake District 10 Lakes Spectacular.
What can I say...we had a fabulous experience with Mountain Goat. We were visiting the Lake District for a short amount of time and wanted to see as much of it as possible, and I'm so glad I chose Mountain Goat.
We had Duncan and it was a full bus, but comfortable, and very well driven. Duncan's knowledge and commentary during the tour was very engaging. The sights we saw were very beautiful, and we were lucky with the weather as it was forecasted to rain.
I would definitely recommend Mountain Goats and am looking at joining them on other tours!

Our guide, John, made this tour of the Yorkshire Dales fascinating and fun! He knows a LOT of history and can tell a great story. I learned a lot about this beautiful area and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day despite rainy, cool conditions. I highly recommend this tour and our guide John!

Very impressed with this day trip. Rachael the driver was very knowledgeable and keen to give us a great day out. Nothing was too much trouble for her from the start to finish. Loved seeing the Yorkshire Dales. Great day out and highly recommend these trips. I plan to do more, when next in York.

This was my favorite tours of all.. Our guide John S. was so funny, so kind and warm, i think he was the highlight of that trip haha (besides Byland Abbey). I fell in love with Byland Abbey and The North York Moors, Whitby was Amazing too, in fact I loved every single stop in this trip. Thanks John S. for making this trip so unforgettable!!!!

We went on a day trip with our tour guide John, from. York to Whitby and back. We stopped at Byland Abbey ruins, many beautiful villages and even did a quick stop at Howard Castle. It was an absolutely lovely day and John was absolutely full of knowledge!

We have just done the Yorkshire Dales tour and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery however our day was totally spoilt by inconsiderate passengers who talked non-stop the whole day about their private lives - they were locals out for a day who obviously had been to the places before and we’re not even interested in the commentary. However for us who only get one chance at it it was extremely disappointing and we came away feeling totally deflated after looking forward to it for months. Not the driver or companies fault - just our bad luck day that we struck totally inconsiderate locals.
