Only open on a few days of the year it is still worth seeing this tower, built to guard the entrance to the city here

This is just a single tower part of the city wall, on this one there is not much to see just the tower and the structure that represent the historic icon and part of the defense of they city.

The stairs are very narrow, and the toilet made in Middle Ages is very interesting, you should not miss it. The staffs are very friendly and helpful.

It is a year on since the dreadful floods in York, but happy to say that the Fishergate Postern Tower is back in business. On three floors with plenty of explanatory boards, this Tower is a must on your City Walls tour.

Really interesting visit, but be warned, the stairs are both steep and very narrow, reminded me of a scene from the film 'In Bruges'!
