    Could be better
Very expensive soft play especially for the adults. I paid ÂŁ7.50 to go with my 2 children. Im effectively paying ÂŁ7.50 to buy a coffee!! Then booking fee on top and parking on top of that. Near enough ÂŁ40 for a 10 year old and an eight year old to go with one adult. It makes it unaffordable to do on a regular basis. You are also time restricted where as a couple of years ago you could spend a decent amount of time there and have lunch now if you want lunch its going to take away from the limited play time. This also puts me off paying the money. Riverside Hub please lower your prices you will make more money because people will be able to come more often and stopped milking money out of the adults that have to be there to supervise our children we are not going to play on the equipment. Also beware that should you be unable to make your booking not only do you need to give 24 hours notice you are also charged ÂŁ5 cancellation fee (yet another way of milking money out of you to line the pockets of the millionnaire owners)
I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our pricing. Riverside Hub is a unique indoor play centre, as we invest any profits back into making the Hub better and better year on year. We spend huge sums each yerar on new play and sensory equipment, as well as all the cleaning, maintenance and repairs that goes with it. We get lots of great feedback about how clean we are. This does not happen by accident, as well as the staff working during the day, we have a team of cleaners that come in after we close each evening. We also employ a group of specialist in-house technicians and builders that repair our equipment, as well as design and build new sensory equipment that is unique to us. All this comes at a massive cost, but makes us what we are. Our aim is not to be the cheapest indoor play centre, but to be as good as we possibly can be. All our play equipment is designed so that it can be used by adults if they want to accompany their children, but again, this comes at a significant cost. Our go-karts for example are constantly wearing out and having to be repaired because of the additional load that the weight of the adults put on them when they ride with their children. We're perfectly happy with adults riding go-karts of course, as it is always a really enjoyable experience for both of them. There will always be cheaper places to visit, but if you are looking to save money on your visits, then I recommend that you visit on one of our Saver Days. On these days you can save up to 40% off our admission prices and get a free 3rd visit, making us amazing value. I hope this helps you to better understand Riverside Hub. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

    Good rainy day option
Definitely has something for all ages here. Huge soft play, role playing area, sensory room ect. There’s a few parking spaces which must be booked and paid for in advance I believe it was £2 for the 2 hour slot. It’s quite easy to find and the staff were polite. It was extremely busy when I went considering they only sell a set amount of tickets I personally felt it was too busy. I went with my 5 month old who loved the sensory room and the baby room. We also went into the under 5s room which was good. I will say however a lot of the older children went into these areas which made it a bit cramped and you would definitely have to watch the little ones more carefully when they are busy in those rooms. The cafe has a large selection of food and drinks and it’s really reasonable with the pricing. Overall it was a good few hours out and my little one really enjoyed it.
Thank you for reviewing Riverside Hub. If you are looking for a quieter Hub, then probably the best time to visit us though is on a sunny day, as we are always much quieter on a sunny day than on a rainy one. We regularly monitor our under 5's and under 2's areas to try and ensure that older children keep to the other areas. On our busy days we often have someone at the gate monitoring this. As our under 5's area is so popular, we are going to expand it in a few weeks time, so there will be far more space in there, as well as some really great new play features. I was pleased to read that you found our food and drink to be reasonably priced and that your little one really enjoyed themselves. I do hope you can visit us again. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

    It's ok but rude manager
The start was awful. You have to rebook. Although automated you pay a booking fee as well as a parking fee. It's not cheap. Upon arrival, bare in mind we paid to park, we were directed to park in the roadside, not a parking bay. The guy parking us guided us forwards to a corner and as I started to turn the corner he ran off to deal with the cue. I was completely confused as I was blocking a parked car, my husband got out to ask where he wanted us to park and we ended up having to reverse as a stack of cars were pulling up behind us and ended up scraping my tyre on the curb. If I pay a parking fee I expect to have a car park spot, not on the street edge. I then told the manager I expected a parking refund. She then told me not to raise my voice. I said that I had to raise my voice because of the louud music, she then said, we'll yes we're standing under a speaker. So I suggested next time she takes customers to a quieter area to speak. Wasn't impressed by her accusation despite her admitting we were under a speaker or her general attitude. The 3 stars are for the play centre itself, it really is amazing and the rest of the staff were lovely. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the rip of "parking fee" and the awful manage.
Thank you for letting us know the issues you had with your visit. It's nice that you found our play centre to be amazing, but it seems we let you down in other areas. I am sorry that your parking was not straightforward. We do have parking attendants who check people in and assist them with where our available spaces are. It can be a busy in/out period occasionally if people are arriving and leaving at the same time. We are always looking into all aspects of our customer experience offering so that our visitors can have a straightforward, enjoyable visit. I do apologise that this was not the case when you visited. We will discuss all aspects of your visit to aim to improve all areas of of customer service to our visitors in future. Thank you once again for taking the time to air your concerns. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

Thank you for taking the time out to review your visit to the Hub. It is really lovely that you all had such an enjoyable time, that you found there was loads to do and that you really enjoyed the pizza! I do hope you can visit us again soon. Our Christmas Experience is very special and I can highly recommend it if you are looking to meet Father Christmas (book quickly though, as we are nearly sold out). Either way, I do hope your next visit is just as enjoyable as your first one was. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

I took my 3 year old son to Riverside Hub and he absolutely loved it. He didnt stop playing as he continued to find new areas to play. There's enoughto to do for ages 2- 12 years old. the only thing I woud say is that there is a 2.5 hour limit (due to timed car parking) which could be slightly longer. Price was reasonable too, would recommend to all.

Thank you for the lovely recommendation of Riverside Hub. It's always great to her that our visitors are enjoying themselves here. If you are not parked with us, then you can stay for up to 3.5 hours at the Hub, which is worth knowing. Thank you once again for recommending us, it is much appreciated. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

I have been here once before, I travel from Wolverhampton which is a bit far but well worth it. You pay to park, you book your time slot, we were early but they let us arrive 10 minutes beforehand ( there is a retail park close by) the under fives area is the best I’ve ever seen! There is a new ball area where children can put the balls in the tube and off they go! Sensory area, bubble lights! Cafe area busy. There is an upstairs with a lift! I didn’t venture up there . A ride on motorcycle type things, a carousel, two large climbing trees ( you have a harness) play area ( doctors surgery/cafe etc) some other areas with flashing lights and then the main climbing area. If you have any mobility issues just don’t even think about venturing in that area- this time I took my much younger friend and her daughter who have the required energy levels! Yes it cost more but was more enjoyable for my niece aged 5. There are lockers where u can put your bags ( bring a lock and key). Expect your child to get lost- while there just under the. 2 1/2 hours I heard four calls for children to return to their parents/ carers/reception. I had a by mistake booked two parking spots- they gave me a free drink when we noticed the error ( I had forgot I had booked it on line) given a small bracelet/ gift as we left- if you return you get a free gift! If I lived closer I would go more often, honestly the best soft play I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot ! I spilled the slush puppy lady came round cleaning it even though I was trying to, gave me a free one! Totally my fault I spilled it! Worth every penny ! See u next year.

Thank you for such a well-detailed review of your visit to the Hub. I was really pleased to hear that you travel a long distance but find it to be well worth the journey. We have introduced a new system, where we put wristbands on the children and write your table number or phone number on them. If we find a lost child then we are able to return them to their parents much easier. It seems to be working well. I do hope your next visit is just as enjoyable as your last visit was and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

We came just over a year ago for our little boy's 2nd birthday and today for our daughter's 6th birthday..amazing as we remembered with so many new additions. (Loved the changes to the construction zone upstairs and the new ball pit room..both of which weren't there last time) Great to see they clearly care about customer experience and are reinvesting back into the product

So much to do! The karts and carousel are fab. Still love the little disco room! My daughter tried the rock climbing this time too.

We drove around an hour and it is so worth it!

Massive thanks for the birthday bag for my little girl..she was over the moon and the items were so lovely and well chosen. ❤️

A fab place..worth every penny! We will be back again for sure!

Thank you so much for taking the time out to review your second visit to the Hub. It's really nice to hear that you enjoyed yourselves just as much as the first time. As you noticed, we constantly introduce new play features and have a very large new play area opening up at the end of October. I do hope you and your family can visit us again soon. Thanks again for the great review. Kind regards, Ellis Potter

Totally amazed by this place! We visited for the first time today and were blown away.
So many positives to say about it … the cleanliness, the amazing sensory areas, the under 5’s section and the fact that once you’re in all the activities are included in the price.
My four and three year old were mind blown by everything they could do. They loved the under 5’s section, and the role play village and it was great that all children could take part in all activities regardless of their age. Our small children felt comfortable enough in the larger section too with older children and were keen to try new things such as climbing the beanstalk.
As an Early Years Teacher I was so impressed by the sensory areas (wishing I had this in my classroom!) and the role play set ups. Everything has clearly been planned very carefully and with purpose. What a special place to offer such wonderful experiences to children.
I can’t wait to share my photos with my school staff!
We didn’t eat here but the cafe was clean and the food looked inviting. Everything you could need for children too.
We will definitely be back, it was so worth the hours drive early on a Sunday morning!
