I visited in winter with a friend when it seemed not a lot to do at that time of year.
I was amazed how things had progressed with air guns since I was a lad. To say I ended up returning and becoming a member
and I purchased an ex club gun which was such good value. The staff are amazing and welcoming and help and encourage at all times. The regulars are just the same and welcome and chat and actually encourage you to try their £1400 guns out. In the cafe we all sit and chat all are welcome novice or expert The surprising thing is how quickly you become a pretty good shot a great confidence booster. I can honestly say I wish I had found this place years ago

A very friendly and well run place, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and are more than happy to answer questions and offer guidance with their products, which is reassuring as I'm new to air rifle shooting and they are always happy to widen my knowledge on it, definitely worth a visit

Visited OnTarget with as a corporate group with around 10 people. The team at OnTarget looked after us well with a short briefing at the minute to show us how the guns operated. Following this we spent an hour shooting the rifles and pistols at our own pace using their automatic recall targets. The team presented our group with trophies based on our results which was a lot of fun!
Would recommend to anyone! Was a lot of fun and a budget friendly experience compared to traditional firearm shooting. Thank you OnTarget!

Was in the area, found this on TripAdvisor, booked it & didn't regret! We went as a couple and both enjoyed it! The hour flew by! We had never done this before so complete beginners! Great equipment and it was explained to us great! People are always around to help if needed! Honestly had a great time! Little cafe to get drinks etc! If you've not tried this before, you should!

Fancy something a bit different? Came to OnTarget after a social media advert, and decided to bring my Dad along for a treat.
The unit is tucked away in Brackmills Industrial estate and doesn't look like a range from the outside.
Once in, you enter the reception/shop. There are plenty of guns, targets and other shooting items available to browse. Towards the back of the unit is the café (although we did not use this) and is appealing if you wish to have a break after a session.
The staff on hand were friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us a run through of the guns to be used (Rifle - Walther RM8 Rotex) and were methodical in their instructions.
The range is secured behind an electronic access door, so there's a good element of safety between the range and the shop.
The range is 25 yards it doesn't sound alot but it's quite the challenge for newbies like me and my Dad. Offering multiple spinner targets, knock down resets and a rather satisfying bell (hole is barely bigger than a pellet - so hitting it is an achievement).
There are electronic cable runs for paper targets. Hit a button to call in the holder. They have a range of free targets to choose from. Attach one to the clip, press the button and it zooms away to the far end in a couple of seconds.
The rifles were great to use. Bolt action, 8 shot magazines. Each bay has an adjustable stool and a height adjustable gun rest so you can get comfortable. We did have a couple of blockages whilst there... not pointing fingers, but someone kept double loading... quickly popped outside to ask for assistance and the people came and rodded the barrel, no problem.
Considering the guns work day in and day out and fire hundreds of pellets a day, the odd malfunction is to be expected. But still rattled a full tin and a half in an hour.
Would highly recommend, and will be going again, most likely regularly.

I have just started going to the range this year and they have made me feel really welcome, I have met some new friends and I enjoy just being there to challenge myself and just enjoy the sport, also it’s a bonus having the cafe to get drinks etc and sit around the table and talk about everything and the staff are friendly and helpful, couldn’t ask for more.

I’ve paid for 2 adults for the air rifle shooting, I’m 6 months pregnant, will I be able to participate still? Also can I bring another adult who hasn’t paid and take turns if I am allowed to shoot?

what is the minimum age please?

Hi Juliet, the minimum age to shoot unsupervised is 14, although any age can come down with an adult over 21 supervising them at all times.
It is also to be noted that we only hire full size Rifles, so smaller children will not get the best of the experience. We recommend ages 9+

That sounds great. So if we booked a lane for my stepson and myself, would he get to have a go with the Mauser? Is it a genuine Mauser, or a replica and would it be firing bullets, blanks or pellets?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but he is very particular about what he wants and I want to try and make it a great experience for him as its his 18th
