Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a fantastic day with Rachel our guide who is very knowledgeable and friendly, and took account of our experience, or lack of it! We were lucky with sunshine and brilliant views.

I recently did the Edale Skyline Challenge Hike guided by Rachel from Peak Walking Adventures and a small group. It was a great experience, even in the rain. Rachel is a wonderful leader - friendly, encouraging, and supportive. The other guide on the walk, Dora, was lovely too! Will definitely book in for more hikes with Peak Walking Adventures! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Peak Walking Adventures. This was my 3rd walk with them (up Scafell Pike) and all the walks have been very enjoyable. Richard and Rachael are excellent knowledgeable guides.

Night Navigation course with Rachel and Richard - Peak District - Very well instructed throughout! Given me an excellent grounding for bad weather and night nav - i could tell that the evening had been well prepped and that both instructors were experienced and could relay skills and tricks. i have also walked with them on their guided days - thoroughly recommend you spend time with them. Thanks, Rob W

Excellent family guided walk to the Overexposed crash site. Richard gave us a warm welcome and we drove in convoy to the starting point for the walk. Richard gave our son a talk about navigation and showed him how to use the compass and we set off on our way. We navigated to the crash site and Richard told us the story of the crash. We spent some time exploring the site and enjoyed the spectacular views before navigating back to the car. We all had a really enjoyable day especially our son who took to navigating like a duck to water thanks to Richard’s clear and engaging guidance. Would thoroughly recommend.

Thank you Rachel and Richard for a very well organised, safe socially distanced and informative walk.
I booked onto the 17 mile guided challenge walk of Kinder Scout, the Peak District’s highest mountain, with Peak Walking Adventures in April 2021.
Travelling solo and not having taken on any challenging walks for a while, this was a great decision, as Rachel and Richard’s experienced leadership and the friendly group helped spur me on up the initial ascent and onwards around the perimeter of Kinder Scout.
It was a beautiful walk, breathtaking scenery and stunning weather - a great way to start spring 2021!
I have booked onto my next walking experience with Peak Walking Adventures and very much look forward to taking on some new walks.

Hello. We are holidaying near Matlock week of 21/5. As total novices, are there any walks organised for that week which we might join? We have hiking boots and enthusiasm, fitness but no expertise! Thankyou.

Hi there. Many thanks for your enquiry.
Many of our guiided walks are accessible by public transport, but it really depends which 'open group' walk you book onto, or whether you choose private guiding, as we use several different starting points.
Probably the best thing is if you look at our website for Peak Walking Adventures (Trip Advisor doesn't allow me to put a link to the site in my reply to you). If you see a particular walk that you like to look of, then contact me again through the website and we can look at public transport options.
Kind regards
Cath at Peak Walking Adventures.
can i book a ticket on samr day and it is for hm thnx alot

Hi there.
Many thanks for your enquiry about out guided hill and moorland walks.
It's essential to book well in advance for our 'open group' guided walks and for private guided walks.
Trip Advisor doesn't allow me to post links in my reply to you to the relevant web pages of my website that have details of forthcoming walks, but if you find the website for Peak Walking Adventures, you can find details on there of forthcoming 'open group' guided walks and of private guided walks.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch again if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards
Cath at Peak Walking Adventures.

I will be traveling to the Peak District sometime between April 19-23, for 48-72 hours. I don't know much about the Peak District other than Stanage Edge, as featured in the most recent Pride & Prejudice (sorry, I'll wager you're tired of hearing that one!). I would love if a hike incorporated the moors (these "moors", as I've read in books, are the stuff of legend in my mind) and Stanage Edge and potentially a view of some estate or other... pardon my ignorance... there's just so much I'd love to see.

Hi Sam. Many thanks for getting in touch. Stanage Edge is one of many stunning gritstone edges in the Peak District. There are fabulous moorland walks all over the area. Unfortunately I myself will be away on holiday during the dates of your stay in the Peak District, and therefore am unable to offer you a guided walk through my business Peak Walking Adventures. If you would like a guided walk, can I suggest that you try Matt Dawson at Trekking Skills. Trip Advisor won't allow me to place a link to his website, but if you search for it, I'm sure you'll find it.
