About
Back2Basics provides an opportunity for children to take a break from technology and to get involved in outdoor activities specifically designed to develop their team-working skills, build their character and confidence. Forestry schools run on Saturday and Sunday under the guidance of specialist rangers with extensive experience of working with children. Activities include basic survival skills, command tasks, shelter building, map and compass work, camp fire games and s'mores to name a few! Overnight camping starts in June 2017 and runs through to the end of September 2017. Our overnight camps all have different themes such as 'Survival', 'Robin Hood' and 'Spook camp'.

My son (aged 10) and six of his school friends have just returned from a weekend camp with Back2Basics (Friday evening to Monday lunchtime). They had an absolutely wonderful time, sleeping under canvas, cooking on an open fire and playing games such as laser tag. The staff were very friendly and the camp was very well-organised. Our son is already looking forward to his next camp!

Having personally played the Laser Days , it was great fun and an exciting hour with the kids. The operators often get involved to ensure the teams are balanced and that a fun time is had by all.

Absolutely amazing set up in the middle of the woods at Kelham Hall!
Staff were very friendly and I was happy to leave the kids there for 2 hours of fun!!!!
My kids were amazed by handling forest bugs and there was also leaf rubbing and dream catchers to keep - awesome value for money!!!! - will definitely visit again!
