Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fantastic and hugely informative walk around some of Fothergill's most famous buildings in central Nottingham. This was an easy-paced walk with a lovely cuppa and cake thrown in at the end (at Debbie Bryan's shop) to celebrate Fothergill's birthday.

I have recommended this walk many times to other friends and family and I think it would appeal to anyone with even a passing interest in the glorious buildings of our city of Nottingham. I hope to go on the TC Hines walk (also by Lucy) at some point this year!

Last night I attended one of Lucy's expertly researched, architecturalhistory walks. I knew it woulr be interesting but as a former student of archetectural history I found the level of detail and quality of research deeply satisfying. She brought the lace msrket alive with a delivery combining great humour and a wonderful turn of phrase. Her delivery of an architect's speech as we completed the tour was a perfect end..

If you want to know more about Nottingham history, the lace trade and the history of urban development then you really have to go on one of her walks. It's a delightful and thought provoking way to spend a few hours.

A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours and learn a lot about Nottingham as well as WF himself. Lucy’s tour was so informative and amusing, her passion was infectious and I learned so much about the city I’ve lived in my whole life and buildings I’ve walked past hundreds of times. Looking forward to joining another of her tours in the future!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour. I’m from Nottingham and it evoked happy memories of my youth but even if you are a visitor to our lovely city I’m sure you will find it enlightening. Lucy is both witty and knowledgeable. You will learn new words like nogging!
I will be looking up in future to see the hidden architecture of yesteryear.

Every WF building has Easter egg surprises I have never noticed before, even after more than 40 years of visiting Nottingham regularly. I absolutely loved it. Lucy paints a wonderful picture of Victorian times, both people and buildings. A very knowledgeable and entertaining host.

Great tour. Lucy brought the whole thing to life with whit and animation, but clearly had deep and comprehensive knowledge of WF. Not knowing much abt the subject, i was afraid the tour might be a bit academic and dry, but certainly not! Recommend!

Enlightening and engaging tour. Lucy has a friendly manner and is very knowledgable about the city’s rich history. 2 hours well spent. I’ve walked passed some of these buildings 100 times and yet never noticed some really interesting signs, features and architecture.
