Wow! I would highly recommend this trip for anyone staying at Warner Thoresby Hall. Ask at reception for the Robin Hood tour, (they have information leaflets in the office behind reception), and it includes your transport into Nottingham on a luxury coach and a couple of free hours to visit one of the many museums, galleries or shops you'll pass on your tour.
The walking tour is conducted by 'Robin Hood' himself, in full costume and character, and is an extremely funny immersive experience. He is well versed in both the history of Robin Hood and Nottingham the city. He will taylor the tour to the group, if there are children the language is appropriate, if the group needs plenty of rests or toilet breaks this can also be accomadated.
I highly recommend you book this tour, you will not regret it.

I booked this tour for myself and my visiting American friend to do whilst she was over and found the tour fantastic for both a newcomer to the city as well as for myself, a resident of Nottinghamshire. Robin is brilliant, not only is he believable in his attire/demeanour, but also in the tales he weaves of the history of Nottingham throughout the ages as he draws in the listener.  Our group was a diverse one with visitors from Germany, a group of men from Dublin on a 'stag weekend', and others from the UK.
Everyone enjoyed our walk around Nottingham hearing of the history behind its many buildings and the caves located beneath the Salutation Inn on Maid Marian Way, finishing at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.
Seriously, I highly recommend this tour to anyone who's looking for something different to do.
My thanks to Robin Hood for making our day so fun-filled and educational.  Huzzah! 💁🏻‍♀️

I took the in-town Nottingham tour with my son on the 3rd week of June, 2024. The tour lasted approximately 2 and 1/2 hours and involved about an hour of walking. The guide wore a convincing Robin Hood costume with a sword. He knew pretty much everything there is to know about the Robin Hood legend including some very obscure but interesting details. The tour also featured explanations of Nottingham's entire history including the architecture.

The tour was an excellent value and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Nottingham who can manage the walking. It was one of the high points of our trip.

I booked this tour as a fun introduction to the city for my friend on her first trip to the UK, hoping for a more theatrical and memorable experience compared to most tours, Ezekiel Bones delivered all that and much more.

Despite cold weather and only a tiny group of people, Ezekiel put on a splendid performance shepherding us through the streets around Nottingham's most well-known (and some little-known) sights, all while imparting us with fascinating historical facts.

His performance as Robin Hood is magical; Engaging, witty, and unapologetically charming, his spirit captures everything great about the famous legend and kept us enthralled through the entire 2 1/2 hour tour. Cannot recommend his tour enough!

This was a truly great and very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it to anyone, even if like me you've lived in Nottingham your entire life! Robin weaves his tales of Robin Hood, explaining against the backdrop of the city how the legend evolved through time and how Nottingham itself developed over the years, its industry, architecture and people - taking you from the historic lace market through the square, into caves and old pubs and finishing at the bustling Trip to Jerusalem inn. There really is no better way to understand Nottingham and its most famous character.
Took the tour with my 9 year old who very much enjoyed himself and is now asking when we will be doing another. Can't recommend enough.

My 2nd time doing the Robin Hood tour (1st one 3yrs ago). I've traveled the world, but this is my favourite walking tour! Robin expertly blends a comical and informative script comprised of sNottingham history with the legend(s) of Robin and his crew. And you get the chance to go have an ale with him at the end! Ade is perhaps the 2nd most renowned figure in Notts (after Robin), with folks all over the walk delighting in seeing him and saying hello! Here's hoping the council give him due credit for his services to history and leisure!

Last Friday we attended the Nottingham Walking Tour with Robin Hood, and for the first time in ages, we didn't check our mobile phones for hours! Which probably says it all.

Robin weaves in stories, ballads, theatre and fun to a few hours and we felt so immersed in everything he was saying.

The walk took us to a few pubs, with historical context and a chance to get to know other businesses on this networking trip, arranged by Nottingham City Business Club.

Nottingham, famed for legendary Robin Hood, industrial prowess, and geological oddities, displayed before you in a historical tour that spans centuries but not strenuous miles. Our safety and comfort conscious host even managed cool, shady spots to sit and listen to tales full of information, laughs, and drama told with panache! Really a wonderful adventure. But maybe I was too mesmerized by the sword, the playfully roguish demeanor...

I highly recommend this tour. I am Nottingham born, but wished to do a tour with my US born Family. All of us were captivated.

The tour was informative, I certainly learned a great deal during our tour. You are presented with plenty of factual information and the historical context of what you are being shown and told about. In a balanced mixture of fact and wit.
I found EB's tour, to be a great afternoon's exploration of my Home City. He is a True Professional Historian.

In particular the Lace Market section of the tour, is very "Dickensian". This is not just "Robin Hood" and "stuff", there is so much more included in the couple of hours you strolled around the heart of the City.
It is also manageable for people with limited mobility (My son had a broken foot at the time and had to use a scooter).

Great value for money, even if you lived in Nottingham for 30 years!

From the moment Robin Hood appeared to lead our walking tour of this wonderful city we were captivated! Robin was very knowledgeable and his passion for the city was infectious. His delivery of the tour was entertaining, informative and humorous - he really did bring history alive!
I can't recommend this tour enough. It is a must for anyone wanting to learn more about Robin Hood and the history of Nottingham. We have been visiting Nottingham for over 30 years, but we learnt so much today about the city and it's history. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, topped off with a cold pale ale at the end of the tour!
