This is a very interesting place to visit but would not recommend it when you are in a very good or very bad mood because parts of the history presented are rather difficult to digest that of course belongs to the very nature of this museum.

Light Night is an annual event in Nottingham city on a Friday night in February. There are other annual events when free entry is given to a number of city attractions including the Galleries of Justice. I'd never been before and there was a craft fair there, and free music and we enjoyed looking round. We also got a free... More

Visited the Galleries of Justice today and was extremely surprised. It was interesting and felt really real. The staff who play roles, give you a realistic insight into how life was if you were unfortunate to be imprisoned centuries ago. I would highly recommend visiting this museum. I would definitely visit again.

Great tour of the Glalleris, in the dark and with active actor participation - well worth the fright!

A very interesting historic place to visit in Nottingham City. Can also feel a little scary to think of the punishments which used to take place there. Definitely recommend a visit to anyone visiting Nottingham as well as those who live there.

A must visit, so enlightening, a role play with the actors (tour guides) and very enlightening especially if you are chosen to take part

Enjoyed our time here perhaps not somewhere for young children as the first part of the tour was guided, informative and fun for us but the younger members of the group were getting a bit tetchy.
