What a lovely spot for a walk especially this time of year. Parking slightly problematic, but compensated for by a charming little cafe providing lovely cakes. Yum.

I followed directions. The Arboretum is spectacular. Dhalias had flowers. The lake with the ducks a must. I would like to have found the names of the trees.

Lovely venue with an amazing variety of trees. The rose garden is beautiful too. Easy to get in and around but no public loo or coffee shop so plan ahead.

Yes, it’s ideal for a picnic. Depending on your mum’s mobility it is walkable from the city centre; probably 20 to 30 minutes.
