Great drinks, brilliant security and start

Love the Bodega! The bar staff are lovely and make great drinks but the real star is the security woman Shirley! She is soo friendly; she saw I was cold and told me about a booth that was available with direct heating. She is so friendly and makes us feel so safe here. Will be coming back for the drinks but mostly for the great chat from Shirley.

Waste of time. Rude staff. Never again.

How disappointing. Used to come here when I was at uni so decided to book (a month ago!) to get a table for 6 in 'the secret garden' - aka the back of the building with no vibe, obnoxious staff, the tiniest table known to man under some crap makeshift covering.

Obviously reserved all the half decent tables (picnic benches double the size) for their mates. There were groups on there who all knew each other mixing in huge tables of 18 or more. Terrible! Only two cocktails were on the menu so we had to go up and ask if we could order something different to which he reluctantly added two more cocktails to the menu after pressing some buttons.
The young man who showed us to our table (curly short hair) was incredibly rude. we asked to swap tables as it was WAY too small for all 6 of us. He wouldn't even fgive me the time of day to say sorry they couldn't, nicely. Just fobbed me off and rolled his eyes. So rude it was appalling.

Ordered jagerbombs (3.50 each) came out pre-poured with a drop of flat energy drinks. definitely was not red bull nor jagermeister - some cheap knock off. Curly haired guy was like "oh soz we don't have those small cups" umm what shot glasses? which was funny because the next round of shots we ordered, patron xo, came in shot glasses soooo... just couldn't really be arsed then.

Table was reserved 2 till 7 - that crap with terrible atmosphere that we left at 3:30, went to Pitcher and Piano and had a blast. Don't even bother going here unless you're bezzie mates w the wait staff and don't mind being made to feel unwelcome.

Only shout out was to the guy who greeted us who was very friendly and nice, but obviously still gave us a walk table hahahah.

Shoutout to Anna, possibly the rudest and most unwelcoming barmaid I’ve ever encountered. If she wasn’t rolling her eyes in front of us she was hanging in the bar chatting to her colleagues. We paid for a 6 person table and asked to bring over two stalls as it was only made for 4, she refused until we asked her colleague in which she kindly obliged. Have no intention of ever returning, and I’d recommend anyone reading to do the same.

The Bodega
Oct 2020 • Friends
The Bodega is a vibrant bar and gig venue in the heart of Nottingham city centre. The bar has a large bar area aswell as a bar upstairs with an area for small live events. The Bodega also has a really cool and funky smoking area/outdoor area. The Bodega also has load of unusual beers at an affordable price. I would recommend coming here as it's quite a trendy place that's extremely vibrant and all different types of people.

Great COVID measures

Really impressed with the efforts the team have made to make the venue COVID secure.

Temperature checks on the door and a really good app for ordering.

Great little music venue, poor beer choice
Dec 2019 • Friends
As a live music venue the Bodega is great, its small intimate but a great place for a gig. staff are friendly and helpful but the downside is the lack of decent real beer! Luckily you can have a couple in the Pit and Pendulum opposite before going in, enjoy the gig while tolerating a "lager type thing" and straight after into one of Nottingham's good beer pubs! Come on Bodga improve your ake selection.

Came in with a friend for a catch up and some drinks. We were served by the lovely bar staff, notably Lewis, who made us some lovely espresso martinis. Not the most common drink to order here, but he delivered!

Great night!

We travelled over to The Bodega on Monday evening to see Ben Ottewell (Gomez) Unfortunately we missed the first act but caught Mercy half way through her set...what a stunning talent with a remarkable voice. She’s one definitely we will look out for when playing our area again!
We hadn’t visited the venue before but our friends had done a couple of years ago. Apparently it hadn’t changed and we certainly appreciated the friendly atmosphere, great beer and of course, Ben, who was truly amazing as always. Having seen him and Gomez many times around the country we thoroughly enjoyed this evening as usual...great song choices both old and new!
Loved the venue and will look forward to revisiting in the future!
