I like all Castle Rock pubs as they are sure to bring you something different and a great selection of real ales. My husband took me here for a quick drink before we headed to dinner and it was nice. A traditional English pub feel.

I went on a tour around the brewery for a stag do recently. A very nice chap who was dressed as Robin Hood showed us 'round and explained the brewing process. We arrived at 4:30 had a pint in the adjoining Vat and Fiddle pub before starting the tour at 5pm. After some waffle, we started the tour, which was... More

Went on the brewery tour last night with some of the regulars from my local village pub. We were greeted by Robin Hood (Nottingham's official one) complete with sword and a quiver of arrows who gave us a memorable and informative tour of the brewery. It is nice to see this relatively small but important real ale brewery succeeding. They... More

Went on a brewery tour led by the official Robin Hood of Nottingham. Was very informative and fun! Would highly recommend going. The brewery has its own pub next to it so you can carry on drinking there after and before the tour. Very well organised.

My buddy and I had the best afternoon on our brewery tour! Official Robin Hood lead us round explaining all the fascinating beer information- he was a fantastic tour guide! Really nice guy, clever and funny..! Then we got to pour our own beers and mingle with the other beer enthusiasts, great fun, probably mostly aimed at people who like... More

Castle Rock Brewery formed in 1977 has gone from strength to strength with it's wide range of award winning beers. Starting as a micro brewery it's popularity grew and grew and can now be described as a full brewery. They have pubs all over Nottinghamshire and the brewery its self is still expanding. The tour was fascinating and very informative... More

We visited the Castle Rock Brewery as part of my stag do. It was a very hot and sunny day in May. The Visitors centre was nice, clean and very well presented. Our Tour guide was the official Robin Hood of Nottingham and as I understand it he normally dresses up as Robin Hood but as it was so hot... More

We arrived by train (14 of us!) and its so close to the train station it couldn't be better placed!! The tour was brilliantly hosted by John and Tim (who sadly didn't turn up in his costume........) Following the tour we went into the 'visitor centre bar' where each and everyone of us pulled a pint and got yo sample... More

Went on a tour of the brewery with about 10 other folk. Guided by "Robin Hood" this was an informative insight into the methods of small brewers.Tasting afterwards lots of fun. Recommended for a different night out in the Midlands.
