- RionaWorcestershire, United Kingdom131 contributionsWhat an experience!I surprised my wife and her family with a visit, they had no idea where we were going or what was involved. Right from researching then booking our appointment (it’s appointment only and not open like a normal zoo) everything was simple! Hannah helped me with my choices, answered any questions I had and made the whole booking process so easy! Upon arrival we were greeted by Aaron who was lovely, and most knowledgeable with all the animals we saw, after a short introduction and booking in he introduced us to the penguins which we then fed, then later in the visit we fed the tigers and zebras, I won’t bore you with every detail but it was worth every penny! My two young nieces (7 and 8) were completely blown away with it all! We took lots of photos and videos to cherish and remember our amazing two hours! Thank you all so much! I can’t recommend this enough!Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 January 2024
- Katie H3 contributionsAmazing day. Thank you Niall.WOW. Just amazing. We did the zoo package with tiger feeding and were blown away. From the moment of booking the team were so helpful, Hannah made sure we had exactly what we wanted booked and all of the information we needed. And what can I say, Unlike any other animal encounter I have ever done. No fighting the public to get a good photo and the most knowledgeable tour guide. Niall made sure we knew everything there was to know about the animals we got so see and feed. Would recommend to anyone and will be talking about the day for years to come.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 August 2024

Having just left the hippo encounter experience it’s needless to say I am a very happy customer. Firstly the covid procedure in place is very thorough which is reassuring. The lady that took us to see Cori the hippo was amazing..so knowledgable and friendly. As for Cori herself such a beautiful animal. You can tell from our walk through that all the animals here are happy healthy and well looked after. Looking at booking other encounters already! Such an amazing visit would recommend to any animal lovers ❤️❤️

We had a fantastic morning at Heythrop Zoo feeding the Tigers, walking Beowulf (European Grey Wolf) and feeding the Penguins. Having seen TV presenters feeding Tigers on TV we just had to find somewhere to do the same. We were not disappointed. The animals all looked healthy and well cared for. The staff clearly demonstrated their love for the animals.

We booked the Zebra encounter/experience at Heythrop, we had a great time feeding, stroking and grooming the zebras, whilst learning all about them. You could tell they were very well looked after and had a good relationship with staff. Staff member answered all our questions, told us about Heythrop in general and the animals. We didn't feel rushed and managed to get time for some photos and videos. The experience was much more than we expected and we left really happy. Next time we are in the area we would love to come back and see more of the animals. Thank you for a lovely time.

An amazing audience with talita the sloth,a surprise birthday treat , words can't explain this experience, my favorite animal and I got to stroke and fuss her, some great pics, she even licked me in return.
The only downside is I didn't get to bring her home.
Met some zebras up close and pygmy hippo too, a lovely relaxed home for these animals and the staff member was so knowledgeable, I would love to work here.
Thankyou for an unforgettable wonderful experience.

Booked a hippo encounter as a birthday present. It was totally amazing and far exceeded my expectations. Barbara kindly took photos for me and told me lots of interesting hippo facts during the visits. I got to feed the two hippos and stroke one. Can't recommend enough. I am already planning to return next year for another animal encounter.

I booked a "tiger" encounter ss a birthday present for a family member. Hannah was so very helpful on the telephone, in emails and text messages when I first enquired. She always came back to me straight away with information, directions etc. Thank you Hannah ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
On the day we were greeted by Barbara, a very nice lady, who explained everything to us and escorted us in to meet Raja and Madras. Two absolutely stunning tigers. They looked so healthy and well cared for. It was an awesome time spent feeding them. An experience of a lifetime. Thank you Barbara for telling us about these beautiful animals, showing us what to do, and taking photos too ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I would highly recommend the tiger experience. Raja and Madras are unforgettable and the staff were very kind

Cannot recommend this experience enough! Keepers were very friendly, helpful and happy to answer all of our questions. Beowulf is a gorgeous animal, incredible to get to meet him, walk with him, and give him lots of tummy rubs. Unforgettable experience, will likely go back again!

Hello,
It was £100 for my daughter (21) and £20 for me to watch and take pics. Worth every penny. She loved it - I didn't want to touch the sloth!! They then showed us all around the rest of the animals on our way out. Fabulous present for anyone. (not small children though - check age restrictions)

How long is the experience?
Written 8 November 2018
It varies a few years ago they had a circus there. They have fixed times when you can visit a lion training session there are lots of other animals that you can visit at your own time I am usually there about two hours. They have their own website which will give you more info
