Beautiful gardens

Beautiful gardens, nice place to visit in a weekend, the walk through the woods on the outskirts is well worth doing.

Very fortunate to have visited this house and gardens on a fine sunny day.. Gardens are well laid out and slightly quirky as made up of several different sections.House was interesting but not in time for the tour which would have been helpful in understanding the history of the place.

Sat outside in the early spring sunshine with a delicious bowl of soup and myself for company. A great place to contemplate life or just enjoy a bowl of soup!

My family discovered Grey's Court last year and have been back twice since. It is in a lovely area of the country, and is in a beautiful lush valley. The house is a lovely size to wonder around. It has been kept furnished as it would have been in the 1940s, I think. Although I wasn't alive back then (my... More

The gardens are well kept and interesting, The house is ok and worth a quick visit. There are several nice walks around the grounds. However, the cafeteria used to be opposite the house, but has been moved down to the Old Cowshed...not an attractive title for somewhere to eat, although accurate. We ordered the beef sandwich with horse radish. What... More

My son and I visited here on a rainy (Grey) early march saturday. Culchicums, Iris', Daffodils etc were just about statining to bloom. The iris' were with figs on what must have been a south facing wall opposite the main house. We went in the wrong door first but were quickly directed to the correct door where we were greated... Had a lovely day at Grey's Court, despite the fact it was freezing cold and very misty. The grounds are lovely and very well kept, lots to keep you interested outdoors. I thought the house offer was good. An offer of 2 tours, one at 11 and one at 12, or you can access the house via free flow from... More

We drove here and then realised that we had actually been here before but that didn't really matter. We had a really interesting talk from one of the volunteers who seemed very knowledgeable about the family history. We noticed things in the house we hadn't seen before. Its a lovely house, you get the sense that it was really lived... More
