A full 90 minute tour around central Oxford with Simon starting in Balliol College to set the scene for other colleges. Then via the well know sights pointing out other places that you can visit for free and opening times (most colleges are open in the afternoon so take tour in morning). Lots of colourful history thrown in as well.... More

Stuart was a fantastic guide and gave us an excellent overview of Oxford's history during our walking tour. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially at the beginning of a visit as Stuart had advice as to when/where to go to certain colleges and attractions, which helped fill up the rest of our weekend!

We had a wonderful tour with Jeff last week. His knowledge and enthusiasm really made us engage in the history and beauty of Oxford. He is a wonderful character that helps bring to life the Colleges we visited. He is also very helpful at recommending local places to visit, eat & drink.

Jeff was our guide in a light rain through Oxford's college system. Though an American, he has remarkable knowledge and insight into this corner of English history. We began in front of Balliol College, arguably the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious of the colleges. Before entering, Jeff gave us a thorough account of the 1555 burning of the three... More

Thought this would be a good way of doing some gentle exercise, whilst learning about Oxford. I was not wrong, we were greeted by Magnus who was was very personable, and during the tour was very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. Magnus had a good knowledge of how Oxford came to be and about the Colleges... More

Highly recommended! Book at the tourist information centre. It's not very expensive and well worth the money, you get a 2 hour walk with a professionally trained and qualified guide. You can ask them practically anything about Oxford, and they will know the answer! Much better than the free guided tours, as they are trained and qualified for a reason.
