Enjoyed Oxford but was dissappointed with the accommodation at Wadham College. The accommodation even for low-cost accommodation was very uncomfortable, a dreadful room in the older part of the college. On the plus side, the college is centrally located, the breakfast was very good, and the garden lovely.

Thank you for your comments and for taking the time to write them. We take all feedback on board. I am sorry to hear that you very not happy with your room. Parts of the College will undergo a substantial refurbishment in the next few years and issues with rooms will be addressed. I hope you will decide to visit... More

We stayed here for 2 nts during graduation. The gentlemen who checked us in were so helpful & lovely to deal with. Our room was huge! Beds were fine, shower was good -better than I expected as it is student accommodation. No hairdryers, but there is a laundry room you can use to iron garments if required. The breakfast room... A chance walk by the door and a friendly welcome by the college shop staff enticed us into this little gem.

I paid for my German friend and I to stay here for one night during the Easter holidays because I thought she'd find it very quirky and British. I paid for one of the twin en-suite rooms, which was HUGE. The night porter who gave us our keys was great fun. The best bit, aside from my huge university flashbacks,... More

It is always worthwhile visiting any Oxford college and, as Wadham is on the way from the city centre to the museums, it is also convenient. It is free to enter (when open) and the gardens are justifiably renowned. The weather was a bit damp when we arrived so we stuck to the chapel. The details in these buildings always... More

We stayed here as a convenient overnight room following the start of term. Thought it woudl just be a cheap alternative to over-priced Oxford hotels but it was brilliantly better than that. Newly decorated, cosy, large and very comfortable rooms overlooking front quad, warm welcome, good sleep and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Shouldn't be saying this or everyone... More

With the university being free to visit on the open days, it's a great one to pop in and see as the college is so centrally located. It's not one of the most grandiose colleges, but does have a nice quad where they hold outdoor Shakespeare in the summer.

If you are on the way to the Pitt Rivers and fancy popping into a college for a few minutes then Wadham does not have an admission charge. It does have a nice quad, some delightful architecture a beautiful chapel and a pleasant garden to sit for a while.

Being a later foundation than the other ancient colleges, Wadham’s main quad has a settled, definitive feel to it. This, for sure, is the way you build an Oxford college. And Dorothy Wadham - the real founder of the college after Nicholas died - is up there over the entrance to the Hall, with her husband and the King of... More
