If you have the chance don't hesitate to take a tour! We had the most enjoyable tour! Our guide (I believe his name was Richard) was a font of information and had a great sense of humour. The best way to see Oxford!

Only had a day to spend in Oxford so thought we would see everything albeit briefly from the open top bus tour.
It was a good decision as Greg who was the guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about the places and buildings of interest in Oxford. There is the opportunity to get on and off the bus too if you wish.
Would definitely recommend it especially if Greg is on board!

It was a great way to see the key sights for a weekend visit. Easy to find route. Buses every twenty minutes. Main central stops. Bus driver was helpful.
Couldn't download a map but could view online and a paper one from the bus.

We are proud of what we offer to our visitors to Oxford - with regular tour buses around Oxford all year, as well as a variety of walking tours. Our staff are fully invested in making sure each and every visitor feels welcomed and has a memorable visit.
We have different walking tours to suit everyone's tastes - they run for approximately: 45 minute "Stepping Through Oxford", 1.5 hour "Town and Gown", 1.5 hour "Historical Pubs and Taverns", 1.5 hour "Harry Potter Filming Locations" as well as our 1.5 hour "Ghost Tour".
I hope we can welcome you back to the beautiful city of Oxford again in the future.

Great walking tour as part of the hop on-hop off bus tour. Chris Cochran was an awesome guide but the tour wasn’t long enough - only 45 minutes and we could have done 3 times that amount as he was so knowledgeable and interesting with great stories. Definitely recommend this.

Yes, the 45-minute tour is well worth your time and I am glad Chris was there to guide you across Oxford - he is very knowledgeable. Perhaps on your next visit to Oxford, consider our Town and Gown Walking tour which is approximately 1.5 hours long - Chris does run these as well.

The tour is great to get a good overview of the city as you say, as 1 full-loop takes about 60 minutes (traffic dependant). Greg is an excellent guide - always cheerful and ready to show visitors the beauty of Oxford. Well worth the cost. We were able to see the City and hear about all the main sites and colleges, and then choose where we wanted to focus our day. Linda was very pleasant and helpful, as was the male driver who picked us up in the pouring rain so we could dry off and be dropped off in a more sheltered area of the City. I always choose a bus tour of a new city as it really helps you to find your way round and focus on priority places i want to see.

Linda is an excellent driver with so much enthusiasm, knowledge and drive (no pun intended) to help visitors of Oxford. The tour bus is great to hop on and off various points of interest and, as you say, a great way to get around the city.

My husband and I enjoyed the Caps and Gowns walking tour of Oxford with our tour guide Lesley, who was just amazing. She gave us such a colourful history of the places we viewed and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. Thank you so much, Lesley! It really made our visit to Oxford special.

Open Top City Tour is the best way to see all of Oxford’s high points. And the Carfax Tower gives the best views of the area. A must-do every time I visit.

My husband and I are going to stay at Travelodge Peartree, Oxford in December. Where would the nearest pick up stop be for us please and how would we get there without driving in to the city as we are not familiar with the area. Thank you

You can take the Park & Ride bus from the Peartree P&R, this will drop you in Magdalen Street east, we have at stop in the same street, or just around the corner. If you take a look at our website , you'll be able to see all of our stops and the tour route.
