About
I am your host and tour company owner, Victoria and I am a born and bred Cotswolds girl.
I started my career as an Assistant Curator for the National Trust, then worked for Oxford University for many years, organising and managing lectures, events and tours for visitors from all over the world.
I now find myself in my dream job. I love taking tourists into the quietest beauty spots and ancient places in the Cotswolds, to experience rural English life and soak in some history and nature.

I booked a day tour for my parents to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and Victoria ensured it was an incredibly special experience. When we wanted to alter the initial itinerary, she was happy to accommodate with different suggestions. When I asked if we could stop for prosecco along the way, she brought a bottle, glass flutes and picked the most stunning backdrop for a relaxing toast. She took us along beautiful backroads and the amount of history and trivia Victoria knows about the area is both impressive and ensured we learned a lot on our day out. Above all, she is incredibly friendly, kind and determined for her guests to have a memorable day out. 10/10. Our tour was a highlight of our 6-days in the area.

Wow! There are times that you know instantly how special a person is, and that is true about Victoria! From the very beginning of our communications, she worked hard to customize an itinerary specific to our desires. The only thing missing from our 6 hour tour of many sites in and around Cotswold villages was more time. I researched tours, pricing, and reviews and am 100% thrilled with our decision to splurge on a custom tour. You won’t be disappointed with this special woman and her love and knowledge of this area, including hidden treasures and secrets.

What a very special, kind review. Thank you so much. I am so delighted that you had a good day on your tour. I know a private tour is a big splurge, and so it has to be worth the money you pay. I am so pleased that you felt like it was worth it. Thank you.

I had a delightful day out with Victoria at Cotswold Teacup Tours. Host Victoria took me and a small party to really quirky hidden parts of the Cotswolds including a village with a woollen weavers' shop full of exquisite fabrics, and a museum packed full of quirky curios including games children would enjoy, ancient stones and ammonites. We visited two small hamlets, each a short walk from each other and each with their own tiny Norman church, and an old wool town with elegant stone building, a good range of independent shops and a church which seemed to have missed the ravages of the Reformation and played a significant role in the Civil War.
All the while Victoria told us historical stories, old ghost stories and shared interesting snippets and facts. We finished the day by the ruins of a 13th century house where we picnicked with real china and cakes purchased by Victoria that morning from 'Huffkins' for us.
Victoria is the warmest and most sensitive host who took us to lunch in a pub with excellent food that sat high about the roadside, where we watched horses, bikes and walkers as they passed.
The whole experience was one of escaping to another secret world. Enjoyable, relaxing fun and memorable. Thank you Victoria for a wonderful day out.

We took a holiday family trip to London, but had a few days to travel outside the city. We chose the Cotswolds and stayed in Upper Slaughter which is very remote from other villages. After learning about Teacup Tours from a podcast on the Cotswolds, we booked a trip with Victoria at Teacup. We were six people total, but that worked perfectly for the tour as Victoria had a comfortable van to drive us around the Cotswolds. She created our tour based on our preferences to history, churches, shopping and pubs. She made sure we visited a traditional pub for lunch. For anyone not familiar with the Cotswolds, you would have to spend 2-3 days covering the sites we visited in a 6 hour tour. And with Victoria giving us the history and context of each location and village, the tour was well worth it for cost. Enjoy the Cotswolds but do it wisely with a tour with Victoria at Teacup Tours.

My friend and I spent a wonderful day with Victoria/Cotswold Teacup Tours. She created a terrific itinerary for us which she easily and seamlessly adjusted due to weather and some mobility limitations. She is both knowledgeable and a lot of fun. We felt like we were traveling with a friend — but a friend who knew more than we did and handled everything for us. Sort of ideal. She took us to some places that we had never heard of but were wonderful and to a really lovely punch for lunch.I can’t imagine a better day in the Cotswolds. Also her car is super comfortable.

Having never been on a guided tour of any kind, I was uncertain of what to expect; but Victoria very quickly put me at ease and we headed off in a luxurious and comfortable people carrier to an assortment of fascinating places, from the well populated and well known to the quiet and hidden.
There were many treats in store. First stop was Burford, with its delightful tree lined Main Street with many independent shops. The sweet shop was a must! Followed by a tour of the wonderful church. Victoria was well versed in its history and had many stories to tell us.
We had morning coffee and teacakes at a lovely place off the beaten track, before setting off to see two tiny and very quaint villages with idyllic views, having a delicious lunch in a little pub and finally visiting a weavers shop with a museum, a chance to see all the original looms and beautiful things for sale. I emerged some time laster with several yards of unique and beautiful cloth to play with.
The day ended at a picturesque ruin by the river, with proper tea nada cake with china cups and plates. The cake was superb!
Victoria was throughout, welcoming, interesting and unfailingly charming to everybody and it was a joy to spend time in her company.
I heartily recommend anybody to go on a Teacup Tour. You won't be disappointed.

Booking with Cotswold Teacup Tours means having the most delightful day trip of your life! Victoria truly tailors the itinerary for each and every one of her guests with such thoughtfulness and knowledgeability, whether you're a gardener, an art lover, a history enthusiast, or, like us, bibliophiles who wanted to experience the most enchanting nooks and crannies of the Cotswolds, from the church door that inspired J. R. R. Tolkien to a fairy tale tower and so much more we would never have discovered without her!
Not only will Victoria take you to places you wouldn't find otherwise, farther off the beaten tourist paths, but she also uses her expertise to build an achievable itinerary with regards to time and geography and your interests—and she thinks on her feet, takes action, and makes the best of things when the congregant forgets to unlock the church door or the bookstore opens late and other little obstacles of village life pop up.
And, as if showing you the wonders of the Cotswolds, tailored just for you, with history, insights, and stories from generations of her family living in this beautiful region wasn't enough, Victoria is also simply fantastic company! We not only made lifelong memories, we met a new friend in the Cotswolds with Teacup Tours! We can't recommend this exceptional tour operation more highly!

We had the pleasure of joining Victoria for a full-day tour of the Cotswolds just last week. From the moment we booked the tour, we knew we were in good hands. Victoria was immensely helpful and knowledgable. She offered a very personalized experience that addressed our requests and accomodated a family of six, including grandparents, parents, one teen, and one tween. The tour was a joy. We visited a lavendar farm, gardens, a pub for lunch, and several picturesque villages. Victoria was warm, upbeat, and attentive, sharing interesting facts and making sure we were enjoying our time throughout. I would absolutely recommend her tours and hope we will be able to join her again for another tour in the future.

This long-overdue post is to sing 🎶 the praises of Victoria & Cotswold Teacup Tours! Our multigenerational family of 7 (ages 18-70) spent a phenomenally rainy day with Victoria in July 2023. But, even soaked, THIS day was our absolute favorite of our 10-day trip to London & the UK. I am 100% confident this was due to our fearless leader, Victoria! Her sparkling, upbeat personality made us forget about the rain & enjoy the beauty all around us. I’d emailed her before our trip so she had an idea of what we wanted to see. But I was still wonderfully surprised to see such attention-to-detail & “hit it on the mark” outcomes by Victoria. And she was so quick to rethink a route & plan as things went along. The weather wasn’t cooperative, but Victoria quickly adapted & we were none the wiser! Only afterward, in a follow-up chat, did we realize how well she “thinks on her feet,” as they say. While we traveled along in the van, her stories filled in the historical background of what we saw in expert fashion. From the moment we met at the train stop—I say stop b/c it wasn’t some large station…simply a country stop on the train line right past Oxford…I’m not even sure there was an attendant! It was more simply a small building to wait for the train—Victoria made us feel so comfortable! Like we were getting a tour by a family member—you know…the “cool Aunt” who has traveled the world & can relate with any age group?? She was a fun, long-lost family member for the day—giving us just the right amount of space to wander around as our family unit & allowing privacy when best, but laughing, kind & sweet all day long. We can’t recommend Victoria enough! If you’re a family, a couple, or just some friends wanting to get a glimpse of the REAL Cotswolds, do yourself a favor & book a day (or more if you’ve got the time!) with Victoria & Teacup Tours! Victoria has truly set the bar for us when it comes to any bespoke tours we will take when we travel in the future! THANK YOU so much, Victoria, for making our day in the Cotswolds truly a once-in-a-lifetime family experience we’ll never forget!

Oh my goodness! Is it too much information to reply saying your review has made me well up? This really is so kind. I am always so honoured to take part in a family’s holiday. An entire day in which guests decide to spend a day with a guide - so I really value that privilege.
You were wonderful guests and I am so grateful to have been considered a long lost family member. Aww

Exploring the Cotswolds with Victoria as our guide was an absolute joy from start to finish. Right from our initial communications, Victoria ensured that every detail of our custom itinerary was perfectly tailored to our preferences.
The day began seamlessly with Victoria's punctual pick-up, immediately putting us at ease for our adventure ahead. As we set off to discover quaint small towns nestled in the Cotswolds, Victoria's warm demeanor made us feel like we were spending the day with an old friend. Her knowledge of the area was impressive, adding depth to every stop along our journey.
Throughout the day, laughter filled the air as Victoria shared stories and insights about the region, enriching our experience beyond mere sightseeing. Every turn revealed picturesque landscapes that evoked spontaneous "oohs" and "aahs," showcasing the Cotswolds' timeless charm.
One highlight was our lunch at a cozy pub tucked away in a village - a true hidden gem that Victoria recommended. The meal was not only delicious but also one of the culinary highlights of our entire trip. It felt like experiencing authentic Cotswolds hospitality at its finest.
If you're considering a trip to the Cotswolds and want an unforgettable experience crafted with care and passion, Victoria's personalized itinerary is unequivocally the way to go. Her attention to detail, coupled with her genuine warmth, ensures that your day is not just a tour, but a cherished memory.
