Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I took my daughter to an open day at the University and spent the day walking around the campus. This was my old Alma Mater and I had forgotten how wonderful the campus is with its magnificent trees, lake, green spaces and the Harris Garden. I don’t remember visiting this when I was a student there over 30 years ago but what a wonderful garden with some magnificent and surprising plants, some of which are seldom seen and superb specimens. There was so much colour and it was a joy to see the meadow areas buzzing with insects. I hope she chooses Reading so I have an excuse to go back.

Such a calm and beautifully well kept garden. Rarely anyone here so you can walk in peace. The trees are amazing and the borders full of exoctic plants.

The Harris Gardens are a hidden gem. Beautiful all year around. My favourite time is when the cherry blossom is out. Great for a picnic.

Often wander around here as part of the route we take heading into Reading.
There’s plenty to see regardless of what the season is.

We regularly pop in here as part of our walk into Reading, it's within the University ground but open all year around.
Visiting in early autumn was a good time as there were still plenty of flowers in the borders in bloom but then the leaves were also starting to turn colour.
Will be back again for sure.

This tranquil garden with it's many splendid plants, flowers, bushes and trees, is set within the University of Reading grounds and is lovingly tended by volunteers.

The university grounds are an oasis of green in Reading and are well worth exploring. I thought that the Harris Garden was veyr fine. I had visited it in the spring when it really looks delightful with all the bulbs and blossom. It was equally lovely when I went there again today. The herbaceous gardens are very fine.

These gardens are on our route as we walk from home into Reading.
We often visit but probably not in mid summer.
Herbaceous borders are beautiful.

Spring time is so lovely in these gardens, the cherry blossom is stunning and the Japanese maples also worth going to see.

I have not to be able to convince Tripadvisor that The Wilderness is something different from Harris Garden!
