We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Used to be my local. Was a great pub with lovely beer garden. Used to love going in. New owners have turned it into a tacky blades only pub. Mural has ruined the beer garden. Very sad I dont feel welcome anymore.

As part of our walk around Sheffield this one was a gem. Very nicely finished inside with a cracker of a beer garden. Lots of hand pumps and keg and craft. What’s not to like

Went there when Sheffield United were playing at home
pokey little place with nothing going fot it really.
We found what would not pass as a doorman but was definitely a bouncer to be unfriendly slightly aggressive and opinionated. I've worked doors for pubs n clubs most of my life and if I thought anyone might judge me to be anything like this clearly uneducated moron I 'd be both offended and embarrassed.

Hi Socair S, Sorry to hear about you bad match day experience. However, we don’t have Doorstaff at the Railway, even on match days. Are you sure you have the right place? Regards, Jack.

Bloke behind the bar friendly and efficient. Old fashioned games machines (free to play) to sit at in one room, a pool table in the other and narrow, small area next to the bar to stand in. Juke box is fantastic and the whole atmosphere is great. Recommended.

I was excited to visit this historic pub. Was greeted in a really friendly way by the bloke behind the bar. I tried two halves of Beer Foundation Beers- the pale in particular was so powerful for the % (the barman was enthusiastic about the beer, which was lovely).

The price was great and when I sat down I was next to these free, old-style gaming machines (Pac Man type games). Can't wait to go back and play them with my wife!

Our conference decanted here from the copthorne hotel opposite due to the price difference. Tiny bar area. Larger pool table room with bench seating. Another adjacent room with 2 small tables and gaming tables. Mostly standing room only and a little claustrophobic for me. Juke box. Not very clean or well maintained in any part. Bags if rubbish left in plain sight. However a decent range of draught beer, bottles, and trendy gin.
