There is so much to do and see here for adults and children alike. There is the small Manor Oaks Farm with animals that appeal to children, i.e. rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys etc. A lovely little cafe, The Rhubarb Shed adjoins this with some really appetizing snacks and cakes on offer, with specialties as well. A good outside picnic area... More

Lovely area to pop to and spend an hour or two, small farm with horses/donkeys, pigs, rabbits and a small garden centre. The wild flowers that grow there in the spring and summer are beautiful..small childrens play area and a pub next door.

The farm is great to bring children to, and the cafe is Excellent! Great lunches and cakes. You can buy fresh eggs and other products. There is a park for walking around and the Manor is well worth a visit.

My daughter is currently learning about the Tudors and a friend kindly asked if we’d like to visit the Manor Lodge and do a Tudor tour. I didn’t even know that the Manor Lodge even existed. What a beautiful place it is! We had an inset day, so 20 odd of us (children and adults) descended on the Manor Lodge... More

I have visited Sheffield Manor Lodge many times and each visit is a great experience. With a lot of history to learn about, animals to see and a great place to eat, you could spend most of the day at this site and come away feeling happy. The staff and volunteers are all really friendly and enthusiastic and are always... More

We visited today as part of the Heritage weekend. We took a tour with a tour guide which was very interesting but took an hour and 20 minutes which was a little too long for the children so by the time we got to the tower which was the most interesting part, they'd had enough which was a shame. We... More

We only found Manor Lodge when looking for The Rhubarb Shed Cafe and were amazed that this historic building was slap bang in the middle of the Manor housing estate, with extensive grounds around it. I have lived in Sheffield all my life and have only just found it. Well worth a visit, especially as it has a very modern... More

The only part of this site totally in tact is the turret house. Really interesting building with lots to see. The grounds are equally as interesting as you can walk around the ruins. There is a heritage site and there are events throughout the year.
