Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sheffield Town Hall - a large imposing city hall in the heart of Sheffield - currently showing banners for the Snooker World Championships at the crucible.

We had a wonderful time in Sheffield. Beautiful architecture and gardens and parks. Transports around the city are very good. When visiting Sheffield don't to carry cash for buses, trams and taxis.

Sheffield Town Hall is without a shadow of a doubt the most famous building in Sheffield, I wouldn't say it's the most beautiful building in the city but its still an amazing looking structure.
The work of architect Edward William Mountfield and constructed in 1897 with further alterations in 1923 ,it's built in the Renaissance Revival style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye, this municipal building is used by Sheffield City Council, this town hall building was built to replace Sheffield Old Town Hall ( Waingate ) and was opened by Queen Victoria, its a wonderful example of Victorian architecture at its best, we were here on a Monday night and we were pub and bar hopping around this part of town, the town hall looked amazing at night, loved the building ,its a building that you should check out if your planning a trip to Sheffield, its easy to locate along Pinstone Street.

Shocking place. They allow people to get married which can only mean one thing. Divorce. Went to a wedding once and was funny with tree huggers playing drums and ruined the all wedding.

What a lovely building. Would have loved a tour which is often possible but now due to COVID this is no longer possible. The frontage is very impressive. The back overlooks the Peace Gardens. Don’t forget to look at the Green Police Box by the corner of the building

Beautiful Renaissance Revival style building built in the second half of the 19th century. It is located in the center of the city. Later the Peace Gardens were added.

This grand Victorian building stands proudly in the centre of the city. Much better since the ugly modern extension was demolished.

What a fabulous building! Not being disrespectful to Sheffield, but I wasn’t expecting a town hall like this!
Great architecture, and with so much to look at, externally and internally, it’s well worth a look in

If you’re into architecture and buildings than Sheffield Townhall is certainly one you should check out the heritage behind the building and the history makes for an enjoyable lesson. During the summer there’s always quite a lot going on around the gardens and Fountains that’s around the town Hall.
