Interesting to see what homes/shops would have been like in Victorian times. Served very well by bus service if you did not want to take car.

While the Victorian Town is very good I do object to being fleeced. With the price they charge for entry, parking should be free.

I visited with my husband and two teenage sons. I was very much looking forward to visiting a Victorian town as I love historical open air museums where you step back in time. Having visited the Black Country living Museum recently, and being a frequent Beamish visitor I had high hopes. What a disappointment! Initially on entering the museum there... More

The setting is fabulous, and the shops really interesting. Many of the staff were engaging and pleasant, and there is much to see. So why only an average rating? Having bought a passport, car park was still charged, and all the rides at the fairground and the mine train all were paying. The horse and cart rides finished earlier than... More

I convinced my hubby to get a "passport" for the ironbridge sites. I've already got a saving having been 3 times with the passport. Have my 5 year old twin nephews this week so planned visiting. We didn't get there till 1:30. It was great, listening to pub singers, seeing the horses, watching everyone in costume. My kids are 13... More

Amazing place, enjoyed the whole 4 hours of our visit on a sunny summer weekday. Very well kept surroundings and high quality fixtures and fittings; very authentic experience and will be returning again with the children next time. Recommend seeing the Victorian school lesson and spending some time to talk to the actors, who were very friendly, except the lady... More

We stayed in Ironbridge ,for a long weekend break. What a great place. We visited Bliss Hill museum while there, we found it to be a very interesting place a real trip back to the Victorian times. Old houses to look around. Trams, Fair ground, little shops to look around and to buy little trinkets , sweets and soaps. Nice... More

We visited in August with my Wife and Son and enjoyed the whole experience. I thought it was great to have the ability to change money into Victorian money and then be able to use it in the various shops. The staff were very friendly and answered all the questions thrown at them by the visitors. Sadly we did not... More

We spent a happy 4 hours at Blists Hill & I can highly recommend it. The exhibits are all thoughtfully done & spaced out to you don't have to suffer overcrowding. It's great fun to buy old money & use it to pay for things during your visit. We paid extra for the train ride in the clay mine, which... More
