Operating hours: 8pm Friday nights April till December Typical prices: £4 adults £4 children family £13 private tours From £99. We interact with the audience, min number of people for a tour. We started 13 years ago self funded we do it because we love it, all stories based on the local area. The tour is dark humour and in Victorian character we walk behind the castle. In the winter months we light the tour with oil lamps for a more spooky atmosphere. We try and make the tour personal to all; we also mingle with the public picking out volunteers as we go.“Do you believe in ghosts? Dare you follow our guides as they take you back to when they walked round this beautiful town? The Reverend Black (deceased) parish was here in this very town….. 300 years ago. His stories of his flock are thrilling and chilling. Stuart de Montacute a Knight of the Garter Left for the Crusades many years ago and never returned. Stuart returns today to talk of his days of chivalry & battle. During the tour other guides may appear to help, let’s just say you won’t be alone….If you are lucky or unlucky enough Mr Beltain & Dr Atlas will attend this tour as your Guides they the Notorious Body snatchers of Victorian times and come back today (not for fresh bones we must add) but to talk of their ghastly trade………. “

It was a freezing night and apart from the weather this was an entertaining walk through some ghostly tales as we walked mainly around Ludlow castle. The two guys were professional although if they carry on smoking like they did they will meet the early death that some of the victims in their stories did. Well worth a night out... More

Lived in and around Ludlow for nearly 15 years and finally got round to taking part in the infamous Ghost Walk. Only five of us on this great value tour - a very cool, very dark Friday night full of atmosphere. Our guide, dressed in Victorian garb and carrying a temperamental lamp, led us around the byways and alleyways of... More

Looking forward to this tour my husband and I with another couple waited for the two tour leaders to arrive. They did, dressed in costume only to be told that 4 was not enough! Both couples offered to pay more to make it worth their efforts but no avail. Apparently it was all about insurance. The two gents were very... More

A great couple of hours entertainment with these two guys who run this. Taken for a ghost walk down the back of the castle with lots of historic ghoulish tales. You have to take part but it's fun. We did this in the summer but would like to come back and do it in the winter. Great value for money.

We went in October 2014, arriving just in time because of the journey from home. The two guys who run it were excellent. We really can't say too much on here without giving the surprises away, but suffice to say at £4 each the fee was worth it!

On the 3rd of December we joined the Guides private Ludlow ghost tour. It was bitterly cold, very, very dark and the best fun I have had in ages. I suggest that if you have a spare couple of hours you should the two guys that run it and have an evening of fear and fun. Thank you! Next Tim... More

Take a walk along the ludlow pathways and travel back in time to learn about its ghoulish past, from the crusades up to more modern times, walk took just around two hours from first meeting at the Buttercross in the town centre,to finishing at the far end of the castle grounds, four pounds well spent,The actors/ narrators who guide you through... Excellent evening amble around Ludlow with two zany characters. As was explained in detail to us before the walk commenced, you get out of the walk exactly what you put in to it - participation and dialogue is encouraged. The two guys have the patter and are very good at the presentation of the stories on the walks. There is... More
