Lovely church right in the centre of Ludlow, we approached it from a tiny unassuming alleyway which made its sheer scale even more surprising!
Beautifully maintained, although the temporary (I think) generator for the heating system seemed a little at odds with the surroundings, even...More
I recently visited St Laurence's to take photographs of the church for my dissertation. It is a truly beautiful and fascinating church. I would like to thank the staff for being extremely welcoming and insightful. I will definitely be visiting again!
We were really surprised when we went into this church, it was magnificent. Be prepared to be blown away. It was as ornate as a cathederal but simple at the same time. Would have loved to have attended a service but only on holiday sadly.
Visited Sunday 10th Feb. The bell's were chiming which added to atmosphere. Very busy inside with local people enjoying coffee and other activities. All church pews had been removed so space looked huge. We were informed that the church having a few changes and renovation...More
A surprisingly large church that reflects on the significance of Ludlow in past centuries, with choir stalls that could easily be imagined in a cathedral. Very friendly greeting on our entrance and a quick chat to orient ourselves set us up for an enjoyable visit....More

So much to see in this stunning medieval church. They were removing the pews when we visited to open up the space for concerts. We will return to see the finished effect. Helpful and friendly guides. Plenty of variety in nearby shops.
I had been here on a very brief visit some time ago, so was pleased when asked to play in a concert here just before Christmas. It is a lovely building with many fine features. Even more, it has good acoustics for classical music.
