My friend Johan and I cycled The Hereford Gardens Tour the last week in August, 2023. This is my fourth tour with WWC, and as always Kay and Chris offered a fantastic service from start to finish! Their hybrid cycles work well and the itinerary is very accurate and informative. The accommodations offered were top notch! The scenery in Shropshire/Wales is really wonderful. The weather was not perfect, but we have some fantastic rain gear! We will be back in a heartbeat!
Thank you, Kay & Chris!

Chris and Kay were very welcoming when we first arrived, and took us through the bike set-up and explained the extensive route assistance material, all of which gave us a very good feel at the beginning of our 6 day Shropshire Castles tour. The itinerary that they had created was excellent, as was the accommodation they had organized. Wonderful views of the Shropshire countryside and very interesting historic sites to visit. Kay and Chris were very responsive and came to our aid when we required some roadside assistance – a puncture which wouldn’t seem to fix. Please note that if we’d had more faith in their assurances that the Slime sealant in the tyres really does work, and we’d followed the instructions precisely, we probably wouldn’t have needed to call for assistance!
Thank you for a great cycle tour Kay and Chris.

To put our comments in context, we are a 67 year old couple, reasonably fit but we rarely cycle.
We booked the Lion & Salutation Tour - so 'easy to moderate'. Marian had the electric bike - which she loved and I had a standard bike.
We were made very welcome when we arrived at the farm and both Kay & Chris took time to talk us through the bikes ( first time with an electric bike) and checked we knew where we were going.
The routes were very well explained - follow them literally and you cant go wrong. We were also given an Ordnance Survey map which was useful for cross referencing.
First morning, after staying at the Lion Hotel which was fabulous, we could not get the electric bike to start (our fault - we forgot there was a switch on the underside of the battery!) - Chris arrived within 10 minutes and we were soon on our way.
Weobley was a lovely village and we opted for Route 2 on our third day of cycling which we cant recommend enough.
Overall , more than a 5* experience.
Bit of advice? Make sure you have padded cycling shorts - we both did and we both still got a little saddle sore!

So pleased you enjoyed the cycling holiday, and that Marian loved the electric bike. Have you decided to invest in one for the future? Route 2 on our cycle tour goes through tiny half timbered villages to the River Wye.. and the magical Brobury House Gardens. We love having lunch at their cafe, the setting is idyllic in the garden... Many thanks for taking the time to post the review, it really is appreciated.

Booked this trip for my dad's 60th birthday treat and went as a group of 4 (my parents and 2 adult children). Was really well organized by a lovely friendly couple. Cycling 18-30 miles a day mainly flat and rolling hills. Cycling through lots of quaint villages with plenty of cafe/pub stops and some national trust sites to visit. Would suit a wide range of fitness levels with different route options/adjustments. Accomodation was above a charming pub in Weobley with a large breakfast included.

It's just the sort of short break I would choose for my birthday treat (but I would say that wouldn't I). Great cycling coupled with some really good places to eat in the picturesque village of Weobley - hope you tried out Jules cafe bar as well as The Salutation, both feature the very best of Herefordshire produce and great beer & cider. It was lovely to meet you all and many thanks for taking the time to post a review.

Just returned from a 3 day cycling tour with my Daughter. Having had many holidays to worldwide destinations the Herefordshire/Wye valley area and the tour arranged so efficiently by Kay & Chris topped them all. Great communication and a very clear and simplistic booking process, followed by a truly relaxed holiday, great cycling routes, perfect accommodation and very easy to navigate directions. The scenery and villages we travelled through were stunning, plenty of variation in the route ensuring we always had access to refreshments and other necessary facilities when cycling for several hours. The directions provided were clear and detailed and provided a combination of riding challenges exactly as we expected. Options to extend/vary the route enabled us to vary our journey and explore this stunning area further. The bikes provided we’re very high quality and superbly maintained, comfortable and with appropriate gears and related safety features. With the reassurance of puncture repair/mechanical support being on-hand enabled us to ride freely and without any restrictions. The location, quality and standard of service at the accommodation were all superb. After a long day in the saddle we felt like we had arrived Home, made to feel very welcome and provided with everything required to immediately relax and recover. Hay on Wye and the surrounding area is truly exquisite, providing the most peaceful and relaxing experience. The entire experience from start to finish was incredible and has inspired me to prioritise further cycling holidays in the future. I will definitely be revisiting this area and Wheely Wonderful Cycling Holidays.

There not much for me to add to this - apart from many thanks for coming along.... and what great photos! And of course a big thank you for taking so much time and detail with your review. This area is one of England's hideaway spots; few cars, peace and quiet (apart from birdsong & sheep), but lots of quirky things to discover (especially in the border town of Hay on Wye).

The cycling was lovely - on quiet roads and relatively flat! Big hill in the last day, but views were amazing.
Cycled through many of the black and white villages and saw the oldest AA box!
Canoeing was amazing - saw so many kingfishers. The weirs were fun! Got to stop at Hay on Wye for a cream tea.
We stayed in lovely pubs and had a great breakfast each morning - enough to mean we didn’t really need lunch!

My favourite birds are kingfishers and swallows, and this Cycling and Canoeing holiday means you get plenty of time to notice them, when you are messing around on a bike or on a canoe in the river ! A perfect summer short break. Thanks for coming, thanks for the lovely photos and thanks for posting a review.

A wonderful 4 days cycling to celebrate my sister's birthday. The bikes are great and Chris and Kay were very helpful, including making an extra trip to collect a bag we left at our first hotel.

Cycling through the Black and White villages of Herefordshire has been our most popular short cycling break this year. Great pics of your holiday, thank you for sharing them with us. Glad to see you made it to The New Inn in Pembridge. Despite its name, it has been trading as a pub for over 600 years. Looking forward to welcoming you back for another cycle tour in the future.

Great to meet you all - you had fantastic weather for your cycle holiday on our Black and White Villages Cycle Tour. As you found out lots of things to see and do in this part of Herefordshire - great gardens, historic buildings and plenty of places to eat... not to mention idyllic country lanes to cycle on. And good to hear that you all enjoyed the electric bikes. Many thanks for posting the review and hope to see you again for another cycle tour

Our favourite part was riding through the lovely black and white villages along quiet country lanes, albeit we often had to negotiate potato tractors! The hotels we stayed in were also superb - especially the pancakes on the menu at Ye Old Salutation! The rest of the menu wasn’t too bad either!
