Very friendly and helpful staff, visited on the 31/12/19. I went to the next door café, and following my meal my card payment apparently didn't go through twice, so paid for with cash. Found out the payment was taken twice on my card, and living over 4 hours away was unable to visit the café to sort this out. Called the café but the number online does not work. Called the art gallery next door and spoke to Mrs Cameron who was so very gracious to help me by speaking to the café. This place is well worth a visit!!

If you love old buildings then be sure to wander in here. Local artists exhibit here and there is a small exhibition up the stairs and through the house of Darwin's life but the real star is the building, with its timbers, low doorways and sense of age.

What a wonderful little place. I felt like I’d stepped back in time. It’s so relaxing and time seems to stand still here. The service was fabulous and the coffee unbeatable. 150% :)

I wandered into this small gallery while wondering where to grab a tastysandwich (see the excellent Bear Steps Coffee House) . It was free and very interesting. The artist, Gill Stokes, was there and we had a chat - about the North York Moors, a subject of several of her paintings. It was a lovely, intimate venue with a character all its own. This exhibition is well worth a visit. Most of the artwork is for sale and there is a very wide range of subjects and mediums.

Visited this gallery with a friend. There were a few exhibitions set out and it was free to visit. The main gallery was found during a restoration project. There is another gallery upstairs where the restoration is explained.

Good use of restored buildings. Regular changes of exhibition including those where the artist is present. The ground floor is reasonably accessible but no lift so can only see half the exhibits. Can usually buy cards or prints of the exhibits or paintings.

Visited this gallery for the first time.
They have some beautiful original paintings.
The paintings are also very reasonably priced for original art work.
Well worth a visit.

This art gallery hidden in the heart of historic Shrewsbury town displays high standard and affordable work completed by local and international artists. It also shows the unexpected, I would fully recommend the current exhibition, 'Horrorfest.' This covers a wide subject range and materials in painting, photography, and sculpture.

Paid a visit this afternoon with my stepdaughter as we were in the neighbourhood. Art by Gill Stokes. The pictures were very good. We both liked quite a few of the oil paintings. If I earned plenty more would of bought one.
The gallery is small but as it is free is well worth going into.
