Wonderful food tour with Sam & her assistant, Ed(?). We are traveling with friends from US & all agreed & liked the variety of foods we tasted during our tour. We Loved the food hall/ Farmers Mkt & the generosity of samples given. We decided to do this Savouring Bath tour from the reviews read before coming & it did not disappoint by any means! Highly recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed all the different food experiences offered during the tour. Ed was an excellent guide and most of the businesses had an owner/employee stop by and chat with us about their specialty. We did this on our third day in Bath and had walked by some of these places without knowing the history or delicious food inside.

Ed was a great guide and really brought Bath and its culinary delights to life. Not only did he demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the places we visited, but he was also able to talk in detail about others places we'd heard of and wanted to know more about. Had a great time and tasted some great food!

We booked on the public Local Flavours tour as part of my partner's 70th birthday celebrations.
Having never been on anything like this we didn't know what to expect. However, Mike gave us a fantastic tour around many of the foodie places in Bath, and in particular in the Market. Everyone was very welcoming and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their products. The samples were very tasty. The places visited are independents with only up to 3 outlets.
The 2 hightlights were Lulu coffee (where the young barista was so very knowledgeable about coffee, who knew there were qualifications in brewing coffee.....) and Swoon Gelato - so thick, creamy and tasty.
An added bonus for us what because we were a party of 4 we ending up with a private tour, as the maximum on the tour is 6.
All in all it was a fantastic morning and I can't recommend it enough.

Our very pleasant guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared many fascinating facts and myths about the history of Bath which he did in an engaging manner. He introduced us to a number of small authentic food outlets and specialist tea and coffee purist cafes where we learned a wealth of interesting facts. We thoroughly recommend this most enjoyable tour.

Ed was a brilliant guide with many historical as well as fun food facts to share. Extremely personalized and for exactly what we hoped for…. Small group, informational guide, and magnificent food. Our food limitations were honored completely and yet we learned much about things outside our palate. Great meeting place and informative business owners who spent loads of time answering questions and offering samples. 10/10!

Our tour guide was Ed and he was absolutely fantastic! Right from the start he made us feel really comfortable and exuded enthusiasm about local history and culture. We were lucky enough to be the only two people on the tour, which made it feel all the more special. We were thoroughly treated throughout and would recommend the tour to anyone visiting Bath.

We had the lovely Ed who took us around the food heroes tour. He was very knowledgeable not just about food, but the history of bath and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour! The venues were a good mix of food and drink, old and new and was such a fun and interesting way to discover a city - I would highly recommend!!

My wife, myself, and our 12 yr old son just finished the Food Heroes tour. A easy five star experience. Ed was our guide. A very personable, knowledgeable, and rightly proud local resident.
Each stop was unique and worthwhile and the proprietors and their associates were generous subject matter experts. Our favorites were the cheese shop and the tea tasting, but that says more about our interests than the quality of each offering.
Bath is beautiful and this tour is a great way of familiarizing yourself with the town, its history, and its offerings. Great value, we couldn’t recommend it more.

Would you be able to cater for the needs of a coeliac?

Hello
Thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our tours. We've had people with coeliacs disease on our tours in the past and its never been a problem. Some of the tours go to bakeries where of course there is rarely a non-gluten alternative but we're normally able to make up for that with an extra tasting for you at a later supplier in the same tour.
