We really enjoyed the walk and our guide brought to life the darker side of Bath. One thing that would have been helpful would have been a handout with a family tree printed on it to keep track of everyone as it was a very...More

Glad you enjoyed, thanks for feedback and yes, what a complicated family. "Eastenders with posh people and poetry" as my favourite review said - although there's not much poetry in our tour!
I took my teenager on this walk, hoping that she would gain some insights to help with her GCSE studies of the text later this year. The walk itself was a friendly, interesting stroll around a city we know well, with a knowledgeable guide, and...More
Thanks so much for this great review, good to meet you and good luck with the GCSE!
I loved every second of this walk: I felt transported to to the 1800s, seeing the city through the eyes of Mary Shelley, Claire Clairmont and (one of my all time greatest heroes) Mary Wollstonecraft. It made me think of how astonishing these women were,...More
Thanks so much for this, lovely feedback and very much appreciated.
I’m local to Bath and I thought I knew a fair bit about it’s history but this walk around the centre of Bath tells you how the story of Frankenstein was written, primarily in Bath, which I didn’t know at all. It’s also about the...More
Lovely review, hugely appreciate this feedback, very good to meet you and very pleased indeed that you enjoyed!
A fantastic tour: Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein in this beautiful city. The excellent tour guide describes the places and people that mattered in her turbulent and creative life. Highly recommended.
So glad you enjoyed and thanks so much for taking the time to write this. FRANKENSTEIN IN BATH back from Friday 24 August...
This is a gem of a piece. We felt the characters came to life and walked beside us - loved all the interlocking stories. A brilliantly written script- shocks you with the history of Mary Shelly and puts Percy in a very different light. The...More
Only just noticed that I hadn't responded to this - really thought I had. So forgive the tardy reply. Delighted you enjoyed, thanks so much for saying so, and look forward to seeing you in 2018...!
My sibling is a big Gothic Romance fan, so when I saw this on I figured I better take her along. It's a highly interesting history behind the writing of Frankenstein - the lives of the Shelleys and all the others whose lives touched theirs...More
Huge apologies for delayed response to this, really thought I'd sent it. Thanks so much and yes, completely agree about let's hope for better weather next year. Very glad you enjoyed and stay dry!
Very informative and entertaining! Sheila Hannon has done an amazing job researching the subject and creating a fascinating walk through Bath. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.More
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed. Today -10 September- is the anniversary of both Mary Wollstonecraft's death (1797) and Mary Shelley's arrival in Bath (1816). And the new MARY SHELLEY film has just made the Hot List at the Toronto Film Festival - should be...More
This tour is one of those Hidden Gems that everyone wants to discover - whether they're a jaded resident of this lovely city who's "seen it all before" or a day-tripper who wants to get underneath the skin of Georgian Bath. I highly recommend this...More
What a fab review! Thank you so much, so pleased you enjoyed - and took the time to write this. It's a great story. Keep an eye out for MARY SHELLEY, new film out next July...
A really interesting 75 mins spent walking around Bath and hearing how the time Mary Shelley spent in the city in 1816/17, influenced her novel Frankenstein. I highly recommend the tour and will now definitely be reading the book.
Thanks so much for this, delighted you enjoyed. Good reviews are even more appreciated after so much rain! Hope you enjoy the book and see Bath as a big part of it...
