Beautiful and welcoming church
Jan 2020
We enjoy the Sunday worship at St Michael's. It's a very welcoming church that makes a positive difference to the local community.

There is also a lovely cafe open during the week for soup, jacket potatoes and drinks with spacious comfy sofas - a peaceful haven in central Bath.

This little church cafe is run by the most friendly staff in Bath. The young lady served us with snacks and drinks and advice on visiting the sights .The good was fresh and the price was good.

St Michael's Bath Again
May 2019 • Solo
As per my other review, this church is also listed (incorrectly) on TA as St Michael with St Paul. It is the third church on this location, following on from a Medieval Church, which was than replaced by a Georgian Church constructed between 1734 and 1742 (which apparently featured a dome and was around half the size of the current church).
It's most distinctive architectural feature is the imposing rather odd W tower.

Beautiful St.Micheal's church without, the without is explained at the main entrance doors and this different church is very interesting.
Easy on the eye, very good lighting, which enables this beautiful small church to be viewed and very photographic.
Cafe, helpful, friendly volunteers and a delightful place to visit.

Fab pit stop for lunch
Sep 2018 • Couples
While everyone else is pouring into very busy over priced cafes , restaurants for lunch or sitting outside Waitrose on a busy traffic corner , just opposite is St Michaels Without church offering a super lunch at a very reasonable price . Freshly made soup , toasted sandwiches , sausage rolls salads , homemade cakes , coffee . A very friendly welcome from the young staff . Loos available . We came out feeling ready to face the crowds !

Well worth a visit
Aug 2018 • Couples
Well worth a visit and located on Broad Street in Bath. Interior is particular good. Cafe inside the church serving tea and coffee. The name of this church comes from when Bath was surrounded by medieval walls without St. Michael's.

Striking!
Jun 2018 • Solo
What a magnificently striking church just a stones throw away from the Abbey. Next door was also interesting to see Baths oldest public house.

Better than the Abbey
Jun 2018 • Couples
The external architecture does not hint at the pleasures inside. The pillars are delicate, extending to fan vaulting on the ceiling, but not the heavy fan vaulting normally seen. This is delicate and not oppressive and more breathtaking.
The church is not large and the west end has been converted into a cafe which serves excellent coffee and delicious cakes. Try this instead of Costa or Starbucks - it is so much better and with more interesting things to see.

Good church to add to your visit
Jun 2018 • Couples
Light and airy church with tall ceilings. There is a small cafe in the church. Some very helpful volunteers in the church are super willing to talk to you about the church and give advice about what to see in Bath. Free to enter and have a look round.
