My friend and I had the pleasure of touring with Daniel on our recent trip to Bath. We opted for a full-day tour of the city as well as to visit some of the small villages near Bath used as filming locations for the BBC’s Pride & Prejudice. From the preparation through the execution, I have never experienced a more enthusiastic and thoughtfully curated tour than the one Daniel prepared. He weaved our shared interests and the history of a wonderful city into a day long story. It was apparent that Daniel put so much care and preparation into the day he spent with us. His passion for his city, for travel and for welcoming visitors into Bath was evident in every fact shared, every story told and every video we stopped to watch! Daniel is far more than a tour guide. He is a historian, a comedian, a foodie and most of all, a story teller. If you have the opportunity to snag time with Daniel, do it! We cannot recommend him highly enough. Daniel, thanks for making our trip to Bath so memorable. We honestly can’t wait to come back!

Dan was a fantastic guide for us. We spent 3 days on private tour with Dan. He met us outside of London and took us to Bath. In Bath, he took us on a Bath half day tour which we learned so much about the city. He told fun stories (a great story teller) and kept both of our teens entertained without information overload. Plus, the adults enjoyed his company and learned a lot from him too. On the final day, we did the South Cotswolds Tour for a full day. He drove us to many pretty villages and gave us the country feel we were looking for. He took us to villages that not every tourist gets to see and brought along audiovisuals to relate the scenery to other places, movies and songs. He even on the last day drove our kids to 2 shops right before closing time so they could buy one last souvenir. As an example of the extra mile Dan is willing to go, we were touring a property outside in London on the day we were supposed to meet up with Dan. I realized mid-tour, I had left all of our passports back in the room in London after we had checked out. Dan took a detour on his way to pick us up and had our passports in hand. AMAZING. Crisis averted. He did it with a smile. Thanks, Dan, for 3 great days. I hope our paths cross again!!

Dan is an excellent tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the area and is an articulate storyteller. He was accommodating to the physical needs of the three of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Dan and feel we have more knowledge about the beautiful area of Bath.

Daniel is an amazing tour guide. He customized a 2 day tour so we were able to see what we wanted. We started off with an early morning Inner Circle Stonehenge tour. This was a must. Daniel is very knowledgeable and I love his attention to detail. He organized the tour that if there were any down pours, we could easily duck into different places. It all worked out. We visited Stourhead, Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta. We also visited Avebury, West Kennet Long Barrow, LaCock, Cotswolds. We had a lot of fun and all the places we ate at were delicious. I had the best cream tea and we had a traditional Sunday Roast. We also loved all the dinner places he recommended in Bath. The 5 of us were comfortable in his vehicle and he's a very safe driver. He also provided umbrellas for all of us. I had tweaked my knee and he was very accommodating, so everyone got what they needed and wanted. I highly recommend his tours and he can customize places you may want to see. We all had a great time and would love to come back to Bath and surrounding area and would definitely book tours with Daniel again.

We extended the West Country 3 Day Tour to a 5 day tour with Daniel picking us up at the Gatwick airport and then driving us from Bath to our hotel in London at the end of our 5 days in Bath. Our experience can be described in one word…..WOW! Daniel was an amazing tour guide providing a meticulously designed (and tremendously flexible) itinerary to see all the iconic sites in the West Country area plus Windsor Palace. His knowledge of the history and legends of the places we visited added such value to our experience. At the end of each day when Daniel would drop us off at our hotel my wife and I would say to each other “Wow, what a day!” On this 3 week trip we had private tours in Portugal, Bath and London and we can say this was by far the best tour of our trip. If you want to get the most out of your visit to the West Country area we highly recommend that you engage Daniel of Bath Insider Tours as your private guide……he’s the best.

It was a real delight spending 5 days with you both and customizing a tour to show you some of the wonderful sights in the area. I like to recommend visitors spend more than 1 night in Bath and now you know why! We booked a 2 hour public walking tour of Bath, which to our luck we were the only ones on the day! So we were actually treated to a private tour and it exceeded our expectations.
We had a fabulous afternoon with Daniel, he come so well prepared with pictures, videos and fascinating stories. He is so friendly, easy going and has a great sense of humour. It felt like an old friend was showing us around.
Daniel gave us the opportunity to discover and learn about this beautiful city, from the perspective of a local Bathonian. Sharing his knowledge with such interesting and entertaining details, you can really feel how passionate he is about the history of Bath. Without him we would have been clueless.
The tour was not rushed at all, even stopping for some breaks and towards the end we were surprised with some special local treats.
Our whole experience was outstanding, we

Daniel was amazing. We'd give him 6 stars if that were an option.
First, if you're considering a day trip, and think a private tour guide isn't affordable, think again. Daniel was able to craft a half-day tour of Stonehenge and a drive through parts of the Cotswolds. Castle Combe, specifically.
For us, part of traveling is meeting new people and getting an insider look from locals. Daniel was perfect for us. Aside from his immaculate knowledge of the places we visited, he was an interesting, well- travelled individual and a true pleasure to converse with.
He pointed out all the things you'd expect, and was very familiar with all things Stonehenge, but he also took time to take some of the back roads and provide random bits of information.
I can't recommend him enough.

Daniel's tour was fantastic! A lovely combination of detailed history, cultural tidbits, tons of local insider information, humor, and thoughtfulness top top it all off. My 81 year old mom and I learned a ton and had a great time with Daniel. Highly recommend him as tourguide for either his 1/2 day Bath tour or his full day Wells/Cheddar Gorge tours. We did both and were delighted.

A highlight of my visit to the UK. Daniel is knowledgeable, personable, and worked to make an itinerary which satisfied my desires. We did a custom Wells/Stonehenge tour with lunch in Nunney. He is well traveled and interested in other cultures but clearly loves his home country/territory. Would definitely recommend!

A fantastic tour with Daniel! He picked the four of us up in London at our hotel, on time and we toured Stonehenge, Bath and the Cotswold village of Castle Combe. He is very knowledgeable, shared his experiences, expertise, and provided so much valuable information, it was unreal! So grateful for this tour and for Daniel’s expert guidance. My 3 hour Bath City Tour is a great way to familiarise yourself with the city. Alternatively I do longer tours like the Bath City & Fly a Hawk experience - which is a unique and wonderful experience!
