Has to be a thumbs up from us! Despite the British weather not being particularly lovely on the day of our tour - we had coats and umbrellas so all was well. Simon was super fun and all of us - from age 6 to adult - thoroughly enjoyed the trip and have retained lots of the information. Best decision I made for our trip to Bath.

Our guide Simon gave us a very warm welcome. He was knowledgeable, humorous and very informative.. We learnt lots of facts about the history of bath. We were fortunate as there was one other couple with us on the tour so Simon was able to divide his attention. He was very approachable and a really nice guy. We would definitely recommend!

Well what can I say, we have done a few walking tours down the years, but this one has to be my favourite. Simon is extremely informative, but manages to make the tour simultaneously very fun and very interesting. The tour covers the classic historical content you would expect, but intersperses it with riguiling tales of "the dark side of Bath" which make for an entertaining wander. Would highly recommend, and the tour feels very underpriced for the time and effort that has clearly gone into it.

Simon is well boned up on the Georgian history of Bath and the USP of his tour is not the architecture but the dark social underbelly of the 18th century, when the population exploded six fold over a century, such was the attraction of the place to royalty, politicians, the rich and famous, and the inevitable hangers on like gamblers and thieves. The tour works for adults and interested teenagers, but less so for the pre-teens. A useful intro for the first morning of a tourist stopover.
