This is the only true “Free Walking Tour” I’ve ever been on. The guides are actual volunteers and don’t get paid to perform the tours. They also don’t ask for or even accept tips at the end so don’t even try offering money. Was on...More

This walking tour was delightful. Our guide (Richard, I think - 2pm Tue 8th Jan) provided a beautifully crafted narrative about Bath, it’s architecture, it’s people and it’s significant history. There were so many interesting insights that I would not have accessed without doing this...More

My husband and I try and do a walking tour in every new city/town and this one doesn’t disappoint (and it is entirely free). Do yourselves a favour and spend two hours with a knowledgeable guide who can show you all Bath has to offer...More

Unlike most "free tours" that rely on tips, this is a truly free tour that doesn't allow tips. Bath is one of two UNESCO heritage world cities (Venice is the other) and the Mayor's tour is the best way to see and understand the highlights....More

Our Australian family - parents with 3 girls 18-21 - loved this mixture of history, architecture and interesting bits of trivia that helped explain Bath in the context of England’s history over a thousand years. Our guide, Jack, kept up a pleasant and informative patter,...More

Our guide was funny and knowledgeable, it wasn't too far of a walk, but showed the most famous aspects of Bath, other than inside the baths themselves. It only takes 1.5 - 2 hours, and I learnt a lot about the history of the city...More
