Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice city. People not so open-minded, everything looks perfect. The thermal baths 42 pounds only for 2 hours. No worth it. Maybe 'cause I'm from Italy ..and we have amazing thermal baths. I loved Bristol, true and amazing city.

It is interesting to read so many varied responses related to Bath and its streets. As Bath Street is one of the pedestrian streets in the city center that has shops lined in beautiful Georgian Bathstone architecture, my review looks to encapsulate that pedestrian area around the sights in the city center.

We visited Bath a week before Christmas in 2022 and one of our favorite parts was the pedestrian city center with shops and the top Bath attractions. The pedestrian only areas make the city great for walking but if you drove it will create problems for driving and parking in the city center. The best thing to do is park before you get to center of the city. There are several surface parking lots surrounding Bath. Go to one of these and park. The rest of the sights are easy to walk to from any parking lot and very safe with the pedestrian areas. The best thing is the Roman Baths and the Bath Abbey are nearly enclosed in pedestrian areas so walk these and you will be rewarded with not only the sights but great shopping as well.

This was the main street in Bath where most people shop, walk, and eat. Little cafes and restaurants are sprinkled throughout the street and offer lots of places to relax with a cup-a. I was a little disappointed by the number of homeless people who were everywhere, with lots of begging for money. I wish the city council would prevent the main areas from homeless beggars. But aside from the slightly unclean appearance, we really enjoyed shopping and walking this main street. Lots to see and do here. Just wear comfortable shoes.

We love bath and didn’t want to miss the Xmas market. The car parks are expensive. We use the bus. Regular and cheap. Just remember to tap your card when you get on and off or you’ll be charged the day rate which I think is £5.50.

Picturesque yes, car driver friendly no, disability friendly no (because not car friendly with a tiny percentage of disabled parking available) and roads being closed/dug up and visiting drivers petrified about where they can and can’t go, pull up or park. Too expensive yes, good for coffee drinkers, yes but be prepared to clean your own table. Nice feel about the place both before and after dark (if you don’t mind the unfortunate homeless) but there are too many big chain shops, both retail and food, with a grip on the trade. Went for two nights, hotel expensive food prices would appear ‘fixed’ as almost everyone charged the same for dinner items even pubs. Tried to support local but found it difficult to find / identify them. Streets were very busy and sadly customer services in shops is lacking somewhat. Overall a bit underwhelming as I’d heard many good things about Bath and perhaps on another day it could have been better, but would need to win me over with changes to get me to go back again.

Our coach party were taken around Bath Street and The Crescent by a tour guide. The history and information which she provided about the buildings was very interesting. These buildings have been used in the past for a variety of TV drama series.

Bath is extremely over priced, the car parks are extortionate, you have to pay for toilets that are disgusting and every visitor attraction is very expensive. They do not deserve to be visited.
Shame as the city is beautiful and quite clearly the greed outweighs the attractions
Disappointing day out for my family

The entire city center of Bath is known for its impressive Georgian architecture, but Bath Street is a specific street in the city known for the beautiful colonnades that line the street. Bridgerton fans will recognize this street as it is frequently used in the series or so my wife tells me. It is located at the exit from visiting the Roman Baths. Very photo stop worthy.

This elegant street was built by Thomas Baldwin in 1791. It contains the Cross Bath. Even though it's now contains many new shops and eateries but I still feel that this street possesses an old world charm. This is probably because most of the modern signage has been limited and there are elegant columns on both sides the street. Only Bath stone has been used to give it an Illusion of harmony. It has cobbled flooring. This street was the hub of Victorian social life. I really loved the fact that many classic films like Persuasion were shot here.
