During my stay in Bath I participated in two walking tours around the City sights.
My first experience was on a paid booking of the Bridgerton TV Series Filming Locations and the second a free walking tour with a very experienced and informative guide. The walking tour is apparently supported by the Bath City Council.
I stumbled on this one by accident and I am so glad that I did because it was excellent. The meeting place was in the courtyard outside the Roman Baths and the Cathedral.
The information firstly about the history of the Baths from the days of the Romans and also the history of the cathedral and the architect.
We then set off around the inner city centre to the whereabouts of the only Spa and waters available for use today and then to the Royal Crescent,The Circus,Botanical Gardens and other points of interest.
For a visitor to Bath with not a lot of time I recommend this walking tour. I was spending a few days there and so I actually,as a result,pretty much could find my way around from this experience

This is a free self guided tour that you can download from the Bath tourist information website. Really good tour even if you are not a Jane fan. Takes in all the main sights of the town with the history of each.

We had a fabulous few hours exploring beautiful Bath in the company of Sue who was an excellent guide. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 teenage girls (who are great Jane Austen fans) and Sue's superb knowledge of the history of Bath and particularly Jane Austen made it a great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Sue was an excellent guide, on time, informative and engaging throughout the tour. She took time to find out our particular interests and adapted the tour to embrace these. We would highly recommend her.

We had a simply marvellous afternoon with Sue Swainbank. The walking tour was excellent, covering all the main highlights that Bath has to offer. Sue's knowledge of the city was exceptional and very interesting and informative. We would recommend this 2 hour tour to everyone!

It´s free tour. We got a professional and frendly guide named Pet. He told us many things about the history of Bath og show us many intreresting places.

We were delighted that we chose this tour. Sue carefully tailored the tour to our interests, including a couple of food stops. She skilfully combined her extensive knowledge of the history of Bath with an insight into the present day city. The pace of the tour was perfect and we really felt it helped us to get the most out of our short stay.

It's free and it's friendly, welcoming and professional. What a great way to be introduced to Bath and to understand the highlights of this compact, historical city. A two hour investment with unlimited dividends.
