It is relatively small but we cannot complain due to free entry and free parking. Sourced from the farm and locally. Excellent value for food with high provenance. The farm animals are a great delight. They are friendly and come up to be scratched and patted. The veg patches are inspiring. Great views and friendly staff. Bath city farm has it all. A great community facility.Visited April 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 11 April 2023

- Steph19 contributionsFabulous place to supportOnly found this City Farm by accident as I had never heard of it. My grandson was so excited & it lived up to all our expectations. He loved feeding the goats & sheep, especially with one very greedy goat fighting off everyone. He loved the pen with Luna & Pixie & fell in love with the white one. Fed the pigs which he truly adored with all the noise they make. The cafe & play area are so lovely with the option of also buying plants. Thank you to the community who kept this farm going.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 July 2023

This place is lovely, especially if you have small children with you. Remarkably, entry and parking are both free. There is a range of animals available to admire and they sell bags of food for some.
There is a lovely little cafe offering a range of options, including some vegan. Staff did seem over-stretched when we visited one sunny Saturday: maybe they were under-staffed that day.
The farm is sited high above Bath with fantastic views over much of the city: worth a visit just for that

We hadn't visited this farm for a few years and it's changed lots, the new cafe is great. Really good menu, reasonably priced and lots of choice for food and drinks. Plenty of inside and outside tables with most of the outside ones overlooking the fab park. Amazing views over Bath. Goats, pigs, rabbits, ponies, sheep and chickens. There are also a couple of nature trail walks, but we didn't do them this time as we weren't sure how long they were and where they went, but we may try them next time, especially if we took a picnic. The fact that this farm is free, with the option to make donations is wonderful. Plenty of party too. We will definitely return.

Wow I have lived in Bath all my life. Heard about this place but never visited. It’s a little gem. The surroundings are fantastic and it is clear that the volunteers and staff work extremely hard for everyone’s pleasure and for all ages to enjoy. We had lunch in the Cafe and the food was stunning. Definitely the best ploughman’s my husband and I have EVER had. The cheese was all local and plentiful. Well done everyone for all your hard work. I would be upset to ever read any negative comments about this place as everything is perfect. Free to get in (but donations are well worth giving to keep it going). Super for children with animals and a play area. I’m now going to be a regular and share the experience with friends, although selfishly I don’t ever want it to be to busy as it’s just an oasis in the dessert…..perfection.

Hi, can you feed the animals?
Bath_City_Farm
Bath1 contribution
Hello, thank you for your question. Yes we sell chicken and goat feed, £1 a bag to buy from our café and shop. We do not permit visitors to bring food from home to feed to the animals, as they have a balanced diet and we can not ensure where the food has come from. Hope to welcome you at the farm very soon.

Is the farm suitable for babies in prams or should we ditch the pram?
Bath_City_Farm
Bath1 contribution
Hi, we do have pathways around the animals that you can get prams around but they are gravelly and slightly uneven in places, depends how sturdy your pram is. you can leave pram if you want in our outdoor cafe shelter and use a sling if you have one to go around animals if you prefer. All the best.
