Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don't know when I've had unfriendlier service. Tom was down-right rude, repeatedly insulting, and did not provide what had been arranged. I will never return.

My husband and I planned our one-day bike trip to the Two Tunnels path.

We were glad to have found Tom and the Green Park Bike Station, which is close to the city centre and our hotel. This was the first time that we used an ebike, which was surprisingly good for us as occasional riders. It helped to give some push when going uphill, yet still felt like cycling as normal! Tom was very kind to talk us through a number of attractions, which were enjoyable to watch too.

All in all it was an amazing experience and I would recommend to anyone who needs a bike to explore this beautiful city.

This review is long overdo as we visited Bath in late September. We found Green Park on the internet and because the Universe was looking out for us it was the closest to our B&B. Tom was fantastic. Took time to put together an ebike for my VERY tall husband and fit an ebike to my very short frame. He talked us through how to make the batteries last the whole day and even got out a bike map and gave us tips on the best places to go depending on our interests! I can't recommend them highly enough. Thanks Green Park Bike Station for helping to making our trip to Bath really special.

Had a most enjoyable cycle tour through Bath. Because of threatening bad weather, I was contacted the day before, to make alternative arrangements. Tom’s response to mail was clear and well communicated. We had an Australian in the group and our guide made special effort to accommodate him. Best 3 hours spend in Bath as an introduction, would have loved some in depth historical background on some of the sites we visited. I would gladly recommend this.

Kieran was very helpful. Making sure we had the right size bikes and explaining how to use them. He then took the time to cycle with us for the 1st few mins to make sure we got onto the canal path towards Avoncliff. This was very appreciated. Great day out. Thank you. Chris & Andrea.

Rented an e-bike for the better part of the afternoon to go biking along the Kennet & Avon Canal, returning via the Two Tunnels former railroad tracks.
The e-bike I got to use was in very good condition and came with a lock, front and tail lights and a simple back rack. You are required to leave a deposit of £100 - 200 cash depending on the type of bike hired (regular or e-bike). The cost for a days rental was £30.
The shop attendant was courteous and explained the route in great detail with permanent marker markings on the map. You basically walk with your bike out front of Green Park station building, turn right and follow the main road towards the river with the park on your right. Soon after you will see a bike road sign that brings you onto the bike path along the river. Then you simply follow the posted signs with help from your map.
Overall, it was a great day out and can recommend Green Park Bike Station if you are interested in hiring a bike for a cycle trip in and around Bath.

We only had a morning free after a Graduation visit to Bath, and wanted a couple of hours exploring the Bath/Bristol cycle path, which had been recommended to us by friends.
Turning up without pre-booking, we found the owner to be helpful and accommodating; he has a system of booking which only took about 10 minutes and then we were out and sizing the excellent Marin hybrid bikes available for hire. You’ll need £100 cash as a safety deposit and make sure to ask for a chunky bike lock plus the combination!
Setting off from the old Green Park station (worth a visit in its own right), you simply turn left outside the front doors and you are on the Bristol-to-Bath cycle path.
The path follows the River Avon for the first few miles; if you are planning to do the Two Tunnels cycle path -also highly recommended! - the route is shared here until the Two Tunnels path crosses the Avon via a footbridge on the edge of town.
Shortly afterwards the path leaves the Avon and joins the route of an abandoned railway line, complete with Stations (containing cafe stops!), level crossings, bridges, tunnels and even a length of restored track complete with engines and carriages (operates occasionally).
We didn’t have time to make it all the way into Bristol; I’d recommend setting aside a full day for this, especially if you want to continue on through the centre and out to the Clifton Suspension Bridge/Avon Gorge (about 18 miles one-way).
The cycle path is a shared space so you’ll meet walkers, joggers and disabled path users; just ring your bell when you’re coming up behind!
Because it is an old railway there are no severe hills and the path is very suitable for a range of ages and abilities - perfect for a family day out with the well-spaced cafe stops.
Back at Green Park Bike Hire returning the bikes was again very straightforward, and our cash deposit and paperwork was returned immediately after the bikes had been checked over.
I’d recommend Green Park Bike Hire and the excellent National Cycle Paths around Bath for a very pleasant and different experience in the area! I would however recommend booking in advance as Bath is extremely busy year-round with tourists and you may not be as lucky as we were to just turn up and find bikes available!
