We learnt so much about not only Jane Austen but also about the architecture and the habits of those who lived in that era. Our guide was likeable, amusing and very knowledgeable.

From the moment I read Pride and Prejudice when I was fifteen I knew I had been born in the wrong Era and the wrong country. My dream was to travel to England to be where Jane Austen was born and wrote her incredible novels. I searched for a tour that would leave me satisfied and fulfilled but alas I could not find an Austen tour that grabbed my attention until by chance I discovered Strictly Jane Austen through the Jane Austen newsletter. I just had to do it. I got to step back in time and walk the footsteps of my favourite authoress in the magical city of Bath. Sam and Adge were the most amazing tour guides and made all of us feel welcome. They had catered the tour to fit all ages. In truth I was excited indeed. How many tours include costume hire, dance workshops and a regency ball where the chances of meeting a Mr Darcy or a Wickham were high. The tour also included a visit to the National Trust village, Lacock where all ten of us Austen addicts and Sam and Adge dressed in our regency attire and walked the village as if in the time. Unlike some tours this was not rushed, we were able to take our time, delve deeper into a world apart from ours and feel like a lady of the regency era. Sam and Adge made my dreams come true with synch an incredible tour. They are memories I will cherish forever. So if you are an Austen addict like me and have a need to be fulfilled then you simply must join a Strictly Jane Austen tour. Thanks so much for an incredible experience.
