    Best soft play
Absolutely by far the best soft play we’ve been to.we go quite often the kids love it. Staff are happy and polite and helpful, food and drink well priced, always clean. We attended the Christmas extravaganza in December which I highly recommend it’s brilliant and magical for the kids from arts and crafts, cookie decorating, reindeer food making a gift from Santa a snow machine.

    Great soft play
We love coming to ocean adventure, my two year old loves the upstairs role play but wish there was a lift so it’s more wheelchair and pushchair accessible. We came on half term and it was very busy and loud. I also believe there wasn’t enough staff working as que was very long and had to wait five minutes at the entrance before being allowed in as staff were serving people who wanted food and drink.

    Great experience
Grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. Lots to do. Climbing area a good size and the role play upstairs has been restocked so lots of things to keep them occupied. Food could’ve been cheaper as it makes an expensive day out for a family. But all in all a really good experience.

    Excellent Soft Play
This place is amazing and I go there regularly with my grandchildren. This visit was with my 3 year old grandson as I won a free adult and child session on Facebook. There is plenty here to keep children from birth to 12 years old entertained. I’m currently sitting at a picnic table in the upstairs play village eating delicious potato skins and drinking a cup of tea which I ordered online and was delivered to my table while my grandson plays happily. What could be better? 😊

A very friendly and warm welcome back 😁😁
Since little one has started school we have been unable to come here on a weekly basis like we used to which is a shame but we had some spare time to come today. It was so lovely to walk through the doors for the staff to recognise us by name & receive a friendly & warm welcome after a good few months. For a Saturday lunch time it wasn’t particularly busy which is so unusual as usually we have come and it has been packed so it was nice to return with a much quieter atmosphere. Everything is so clean and smells clean too, very well working air con keeping both myself and little one cool even after running round quickly around the softplay! Plenty to keep children occupied with both the softplay & the role play which I love all of the updated/new bits added. My son especially enjoys the animal section. A good selection of food on the menu all with reasonable prices, good quality & nicely presented. Kids lunch box super. Many thanks to Sara for her warm welcome/chat & to Shell, very polite & chatty upon ordering food.

    Soft Play.
Wanted to book 4 children and 2 adults but for some reason could not, so I called and they booked a place for me over the phone. Reasonable price for a 2 hour session. Kids loved the play area, very enjoyable. Great menu at an affordable price especially for a larger family. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

The best soft play we've ever visited
We visited here today (august 2024) and had the best time ! The soft play is the cleanest that we've ever visited and has an amazing atmosphere, the staff were really accommodating and the cafe sells ridiculously good cake (especially the angel cake) they are also keen to help the environment with recyclable and reusable cutlery/cups etc... Today was really rainy and In the middle of the school holidays but it didn't feel like they allowed too many people in which was nice. Most places cram as many in as possible and end up feeling cramped, this was the opposite 10/10 will definitely be visiting again soon

A fab softplay with amazing staff!
We visited Ocean Adventurers today with some friends and it was brilliant! The softplay itself is so clean and the staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly, always on hand to help with anything we needed! The toilets were also spotless which is a huge plus when visiting with young children. A huge thank you to the staff who work so hard to keep everything clean and do so with big smiles on their faces. The team today were so helpful and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely be back to visit again soon!

    Amazing Soft Play!
Ocean Adventurers is an absolute gem for families with young children! I’ve been bringing my daughter here since she was just a few months old, and now at 1 year old, it's still her favorite place to play. The entire space is always spotless, which gives me such peace of mind knowing it's a safe and clean environment for my little one. The sensory play area is a standout feature—my daughter is mesmerized by the lights and the calming atmosphere. During school holidays, they even host fun events like foam parties, which add an extra layer of excitement. Another fantastic feature is the children’s street, with adorable mini shops that spark imaginative play. We’ve been coming almost every week for 8 months now, and I can honestly say it’s the perfect spot for families. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are brilliant. If you’re looking for a fun, safe, and engaging place for your little one to explore, I highly recommend Ocean Adventurers!

    Excellent
What a fantastic place. First visit and will definitely be returning, was definitely worth the hour travelling. The separate areas from baby and up are brilliant, they have secure gates which stop little ones being able to get out and get lost. Food and drinks was well organised with a remote calling unit when your order is ready. My highlight was the snow show with the visit from Santa and the elf, we were even able to have a photo with them.

This Softplay is by far the best in the area. It is always clean, spotless and well looked after. You can tell the team really take pride in their business. The new food menu is fantastic, good quality and much better prices, with a lovely selection of food. The kids lunch box now with the refill soft drinks is a nice touch as well as the beef chilli jacket I recommend. Role-play area is great for a bit of calmness for adults after running around the Soft-play for ages. A nice range of equipment and toys for the children to explore. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Always willing to answer any questions, or help if there is a problem. It’s a shame adults have to pay to go in, however, I do understand the cost of everything has gone up for businesses to survive and that does not put me off as I know this place is fantastic every time.

We have been bringing our daughter here since she was 6months old and now her baby brother too.

The staff are great, very welcoming, interactive with great customer service.
Thank you Becca,Fi,Tyler,Ellis, Sara for always making us feel valued regulars an drawing us all feel welcome.
The kids meal deals are great value and the recyclable cup is fab,my daughter loves the new drinks dispenser and the food selection in them.
The areas of play are great fun for the our adventurous toddler, and the calming sensory area for our 13 week ls baby makes it so much easier for us to play with both of them, something for everyone.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon
Thanks again Gemma and Dan,Rosie and Arthur.

This is a lovely soft play set across about 3 different levels with separate areas for different age groups. My son absolutely loved it and had a great time. I was able to get a table very close to the play frame and was able to see him most of the time. The staff were friendly and the check-in was quick and easy. There was plenty of space and it felt safe and airy. The equipment was clean and was of a good quality and standard.
The only drawback for me was that I felt it was a bit on the pricey side. They have a different pricing scheme for holidays and weekends and of course if you have a school-age child that is the only time that you can come. In particular, I felt that the cost for adult entry was quite high at almost £3, especially when most people will be buying drinks and snacks on top. I will come again but the price does put me off coming too often. Perhaps if a complimentary small hot drink was offered per adult it might feel like better value?

Hi Becky. Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and the four-star review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the facilities and your son loved it! We're actually just looking to change our pricing model to be more flexible than simply holidays and weekends vs. term time. This should mean that you will see prices drop if you are flexible on timings. We should have this up an running by the end of June, so be sure to check back on our website to review the new pricing. Thanks again for your review and we hope to be able to welcome you back again soon!

Lovely softplay but very expensive for a weekday off peak. It was very quiet and I couldn’t help thinking that if they even slightly lowered the entrance fees that they’d attract more frequent visitors and make more money?!

The role play section was very chaotic with toys all over the floor and in different sections all muddled up. Not once in the two hours we were there did a member of staff come to tidy up or clear away dirty tables. This was disappointing considering the expensive entry. They need a staff member to do a quick hourly tidy to ensure that other children are able to play too. I’ve seen this mentioned in another review and wonder why it hasn’t changed as this would make all the difference.

They posted online a few days ago that they had replaced all the old worn out toys in their role play but the majority of the toys I saw were very worn and played with. So not sure what toys they actually replaced!

When Ocean Adventurers first opened it was great. It was spotlessly clean, and as it was pre-covid times you didn't have to book. Parents were not charged an entry fee if you had their loyalty card. Since restrictions lifted, it has gone really downhill.
It is still clean, and it is a great soft play, but you are limited to a 2hr time slot at set times, which makes it very busy on weekends. There are far too many children there for it to be enjoyable. The upstairs play area used to be lovely but due to the volume of children crammed in, there isn't much room to play, the role play toys and accessories are strewn everywhere and younger children are barged out of the way by much older children.
There is no scope to stay and have something to eat and play as you are restricted to those 2hrs and everyone is ordering at the same time, so again there is a delay. Adults are charged just shy of £4 each to take their children in - just to sit and watch!
If it went back to pre-covid times where you were not restricted to time slots and adults didn't have to pay, and they didn't let so many in at once, then it would be enjoyable. But my baby was barged out of the way by older children, and my daughter was shoved countless times due to far too many children being in one place, therefore I don't intend to return.

Really disappointed that you've started charging for adult annual passes so we can have the privilege of supervising our children. The role play area was made extremely messy intentionally by older children 10 minutes into the session and your staff didn't even help to make it tidy and accessable for younger children again. The lights game wasn't working properly (hard to type names, only 2 lights appearing in the whole game). Overall, very disappointed.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you were not happy with your experience with us. We will make sure the team hear about this and keep on top of the role play area - we are currently in our busy season at the moment, so the team have got a lot to do and sometimes can't get round to it in time. We know this is no excuse but we are trying our best. As mentioned, feedback appreciated and hopefully your next visit will be better. If you have any other questions or would like to discuss it further please drop me an email on poppy@familyadventuresgroup.com Kind Regards, Poppy

We had a great family Christmas experience visiting Santa with our little girl, I love that you fill in a form to make it more personal so Santa knows about your child. The activities before visiting Santa were well organised and my little girl’s favourite part was the snow finale at the end she loved that Santa came to dance with us too. It’s good value for money as the toy was a Ty toy that they received from Santa. We love how clean and tidy it always is when we visit too. Only criticism is that the role play village needs some more resources as wasn’t much to play with.

We have visited several times before and loved it with our grandchildren aged 4 & 3. Today was very different. Lots more children than usual. The upstairs shop area has always been a highlight of going but this afternoons ( 1430 ) session was very disappointing. Lots of children older than 7 up there rampaging around and within 30 minutes had thrown everything between the various areas totally spoiling it for younger children. One older boy was actually breaking things with a hammer! No wonder so much of the play stuff is now in poor condition with lots missing. Our granddaughters didn’t feel safe up there. I know parents are responsible for their children but that often does not happen. For the sake of everyone I think a member of staff needs to monitor that upstairs area all the time. We won’t be returning.

I felt compelled to leave a review as my oldest "child" is 20 and my youngest 2 so I've been to my fair share of soft play areas .
Oceans Adventurers is by far the best I have ever been to.
From the quality of the play equipment , the fantastic dedicated role play village, 5 star cleanliness .
Great food and drink selection.

We saw Father Christmas last year and the Easter Bunny in April all very professionally organised and executed.

But what always makes our visit is the friendly and professional staff who can't do enough to help.

Becca and Sara in particular always greets us with a huge smile and genuine conversation which in this day in age is so welcome , refreshing and rare ! You can buy all the great equipment you like but you can't buy a fantastic staff team like this.

Looking forward to our next visit.

Hi Gvittle. Thanks for taking the time to review us and for the five-stars! It's even more of an honour from such an experienced soft play expert! We're so pleased you enjoyed our Easter Bunny and Father Christmas experiences. We have a special Summer magical experience coming up over the summer holidays, so keep an eye out for that! Thanks for your shout out to Becca and Sara as well as the rest of the team. You are so right that building the right facility is only half of the equation. We've focussed a lot on creating the right environments for our teams to exceed, but we are so lucky to have amazing people working in our teams! Thanks again for taking the time to review us and we can't wait to see you again soon!

This is our second visit since the restrictions were lifted and we it is a completely different experience the second time around.
During our first visit on a Saturday morning it was lovely, nice and quiet with plenty of social distancing however today, again a Saturday, it feels incredibly busy with a lack of social distancing. The majority of children are left to their own devices, which is absolutely no fault of OA but the parents who do not watch their children. Kids are climbing up the slides (and just give you abuse when challenged) over the sides to get into the toddler area etc, the age restrictions on the areas have been lifted so it is a free for all. Too many older and boisterous children in the toddler section so the little ones are at risk of being stood on. I totally understand this is not OA fault but it does put me off visiting again on a weekend.
The place itself is incredibly clean and the staff are constantly cleaning and this is the reason we drive so far to get here as it feels safe compared to other soft plays closer to home.

Hi Vixster89, We're sorry your second visit wasn't as good as your first one. We do have staff keeping a look out for any people not following our COVID-secure guidelines but we must have missed the problems you note. We apologise that this was the case and have reinforced our COVID-secure monitoring procedures with staff. In future if you experience such issues that we haven't spotted we will be more than happy to intervene if you point it out to a member of staff. We are glad that your first visit went well and also that you have noticed the additional measures we have put in place to ensure the place is COVID-secure. We have a rigorous cleaning process in place whilst customers are in the centre but also after hours when we fog the whole centre on a weekly basis with a fine mist of disinfectant and certain areas are sprayed with the same solution every night as well. Thanks for taking the time to review us and we hope to be able to see you again soon.
